I can't recommend you any episodes that are mainly designed around horror themes, there's just standalone levels like e.g. Aristo's winning CC11 level. SMBX doesn't serve the horror genre.

There are two ways:
1: SuperKevin made/showcased a number of horror levels with jumpscares but yet only accessible with SMBX version 1.4.4. I suggest going to his level showcase and download his levels.

2: Thowmpking had organised a Haunted/Scary Level Contest and the results were up. The problem is that Thwompking never released the contest episode itself so you can't play the submitted levels. I suggest you ask him for any information about the contest just in case you want to see some high-quality horror levels.
