The farmers in our country are getting no rain, it's a big drought that's been going on for a few years... I hope they get rain soon.
back to the topic of climate change ...
Yep, I couldn't agree more. I really hope humanity realises this and puts more effort into saving our planet. There's a lot more that is being done though, for example, our local supermarkets don't supply disposable plastic bags, in an effort to be more environmentally renewable, but there is still be a lot more that can be done.

I don't think human beings are influencing climate change enough to effect the outcome. Like I said Greenland used to be green and now it's snow and ice. Eventually it may be green again and it will be natural and not global warming. Nobody even knows what caused the ice ages and it was extremely warm 15-20 thousand years ago after the last ice age according to another study before there was a lot of human influence.

It's hard for a country with starving and homeless people to shell out 5 trillion dollars for something we may not be able to stop or change. Los Angeles and San Francisco which are controlled by democrats are being over run with poop from homeless people. We need to focus on this country before we even think of global warming.
Ps. The signs Obama put up saying the glaciers in our parks would melt by 2020 were just removed by Trump because the glaciers are still there...it was a scare tactic by the democrats and it failed.
Global warming is natural and right now the ice sheets are actually increasing according to multiple study's.
That study says that the snowfall responsible for the accumulation has been slowing and the accumulation will cease after 20 or 30 years, but current accumulation outpaces losses for now.
I don't think human beings are influencing climate change enough to effect the outcome.
That's incorrect. Human beings don't impact the climate. The carbon dioxide and greenhouse gasses released into the atmosphere impact the environment. Carbon dioxide released by industrial activity has been measurably increasing, and traps heat leading to changes in climate.

The Greenland ice sheet is melting and losing 286 Gigatons of ice per year. Greenland used to be green, and sea levels used to be a lot higher with a very different coast line. The melting is caused by GHGs in the atmosphere trapping heat, and carbon dioxide that has accumulated in the atmosphere since the industrial revolution began is accelerating this process. The cause of ice ages is well known. Every 100,000 years or so Earth's orbit changes slightly in eccentricity, and the Earth's axial tilt wobbles. This changes the amount of solar energy Earth receives. When combining solar output and carbon dioxide levels, you get an accurate history of Earth's many ice ages and climate over time. This happened naturally because the factors that influence climate are solar output, and atmospheric gasses. Increase the greenhouse gasses you get a warming effect.

That 5 trillion figure is not part of any real world policy regarding climate change. The partisan poop comment is irrelevant. You can focus on your own country and climate change at the same time, such as with: a Green New Deal, improving infrastructure sustainability, regulating pollution, or various tax incentives to reduce emissions.

Greenland's ice sheets are melting, Antarctica is at risk, and there is no evidence to support the claim that emissions from fossil fuels are not having a warming effect on the Earth.
I like these deep conversations, I feel like what Teemster 2 is true to some extent, however I feel like this natural process is not caused BY humans, but it is their influence, with what they've done in the world such as burning fossil fuels for example. These things are rapidly increasing the natural rate of progression. Climate change is natural, but what's not natural is how the effect of humans is altering this natural process to change. As AeroMatter said,

It's not humans causing climate change, but the things they are doing is altering our climate, going back to my original point.
Climate change, as by colloquial use of the word, IS the anthropogene manipulation of climate that will result into the downfall of earth, biosphere and mankind itself. I don't care if I'm obliged to say "global warming" instead of "climate change", I'm pretty sure Teemster knows my position and given his general conservatism it's not just about a confusion of terminology.
Also if you didn't know anyway, the reason to why climate can escalate irreversibly is the possible exposition of methane in permafrost.
Mankind is literally the cause of global warming because it wouldn't exist without their doings.

This was actually a descent response and while I don't agree with everything you said I will step out as I am tired of debating this topic but I will say this is heavily debated and it seems both sides will never agree completely.
My country is split in about 50 different ways. An exclusive group of people have the power to decide the new Prime Minister (that's right suckers... I'm a Brit!) and all the candidates seem okay, but I don't trust them.
Oh, and BREXIT.
BREXIT has been hindered by petty party politics.
