Looks good, simple enough. I'm guessing it's a grassy version of SMB's castle, right? I noticed that fill tile is a recolor of the castle block from SMB. Anyway, great job. Also, will you add BGOs and, if so, what do you intend on them looking like?

I was trying to make a green carpet for the tiles. But thank you

Oh, that makes sense. If anything, you should totally make a grassy castle tileset along side this one.

Thank you! It might take me a while longer to make due to art block though

Looks great, Enjl! The tileset looks very distinct, and I haven't seen many like it before.

np, but the black base is still pillowshaded. Also, the diagonal cannon top's light source is wrong. Since your light source is on the top left, use the brightest shade on the shortest side facing upward and use the darkest shade on the shortest side facing downward. It's starting to look better though.

What no

Pillowshading would light all sides equally. This sprite obviously doesn't shine unrealistic lights from the top or bottom of the stem.

If the cannons are metallic, what CodeX is doing is correct.

The problem I see with the cannons is that somehow CodeX managed to sneak in some half-sized pixels
Image

There can be a case made for shading like this
Image

But before thinking about that, doesn't it bother anyone else how the cannons are of such vastly different sizes?

well, yes, I see your point on the pillowshading aspect. The reason why I said that though was mainly due to both sides having the exact same brightness. Now, the changes you made definitely worked and yes, metallic cylindrical sprites can be shaded like that, but again, it was mainly due to the same amount of brightness being on both sides that made me think it was pillowshaded. Also yeah, I forgot to mention that the cannon sizes are drastically different. I assumed he made different cannon types, but yeah. It would be a massive oversight if that were to continue.

I'd like y'all's opinion on what I currently got for my cave tiles (SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis style) so far:

Also, I agreed with Enjl about Code's recolor of PROX's graphics!

They both have slightly different colors, but that's because they're from two different consoles, nice.

Um.... Both tilesets aren't from 2 different consoles. 1 of them was edited by Core himself.... But thanks though

except this post has nothing to do with plants xD Anyway, yay 3DWorld enemies. I think you might want to tweak the blue on the big rammerhead a bit more though.
