Honestly, a few reasons. We noticed a lot of people were confused about what to do with a .7z file, so we made it into a self-extracting format instead. On top of that, the .exe format lets us do some clean-up and management afterwards, such as setting up the symlinks used by the shortcuts in the base folder.

As for this completely false claim:

mozglue.dll is a component of Mozilla Firefox. Since SMBX2 is not Mozilla Firefox (and nor is most other software), it does not require mozglue.dll to run.
libGLES.dll is the OpenGL Embedded Systems library (OpenGL ES for short). SMBX2 runs on OpenGL 2, not OpenGL ES, and so this one is not required either.

We would very much appreciate people not making completely false claims about the software, thank you.

Someone helps me, when I download the installer and install the game I do not see the episode of maglx3 and when I open the editor it says beta 3 :(

What do you mean by an episode of maglx3? Its a contest and its still on going so there is no episode of it yet.

But I do not have the new NPCs or anything from the beta 4 when I open the editor says smbx 2.0 beta 3 and download the beta 4 :(

I've seen this bug before... but I forget what exactly causes it... I believe it has something to do with camera manipulation. Came across it when I tested parts of the HUD after rewriting it in lua (message box is not in lua, it's still redigit's implementation). I don't have time right now to test it myself, so I would appreciate if you managed to single out the thing that leads to this happening. Working backwards through potential causes and disabling one at a time should lead to a result fairly quickly.
Ah, well this is supposed to a cutscene and the message is the first thing that happens in it. It may have something to do with the fact it is a .lvl file I imported from SMBX 1.3.0.1?

The main page still hosts the Beta 3 download, have you tried downloading from there?

The download for this version is in this very thread.

Then the launcher errors I get because those are not installed are just dummy windows that pop up as a joke then.
It is not funny. It leads to frustration.

Oh, and one other thing, it will bring up the launcher, but once in game, it's a black screen, so something is not right.

False claim this isn't. Rebuttal be damned.

It is on the first page of the topic in codehaus downloads link. Also it's MAGLX3 not Beta 4, it's a preview of it with all the new NPCS and jazz.

So, a few clear pipe issues.
1. Don't have Fire Bros. shoot fireballs into them unless you want to cause a ton of sparks.
2. If you hold in the direction of the clear pipe after coming in contact with a cannon, you will slow down when you reach an intersection regardless of direction. (i.e. you enter a clear pipe that goes upwards, reach a cannon piece, and the path continues upwards and you hit a 4 way cross while holding up and slow down)
3. why can we only have 1 cannon per clear pipe section

Edit: also the diagonal snake block redirectors leave behind blocks even if the snake is set to eat and not create
