The Thwomps default direction should be down, as this is clearly casing confusion among some users (I think I have seen 2 cases of this already, and thwomps facing up is definitely less common). Although considering that it is equivilent to the left direction, this would make the default for everything else wrong (since making NPCs go right is also less common) then that might be the cue to consider implementing a system in which default direction can be set on a per NPC basis, as that would allow more freedom to choose which direction different NPCs face based on how common the creator thinks he will want to that NPC to be facing one direction vs the other, along side putting.
Also it seems like my previous post about this has gone unnoticed, but cobrats should not be sinking in quicksand.

Wiggler doesn't really like clear pipes...
The rest of the body warps to the head as soon as it's out of a pipe.

Are you referring to default or SMBX2 default themes?
If the former (which was what I had as the default), then it definitey does not look as good. If the latter, then it does look better and some of the icons explain what they open better than the beta 3 ones imo (if you want the beta 3 theme, that one is now called Super Mario by Squishy Rex). To change the theme, click on tools, then application settings, then view where you will find that setting.
Oh, so there's an option to change it! Nice. (I meant the older theme)

I'll mainly alternate between this and 1.4.4.
I like this update of 2.0. score: 6/10

How is a score even relevant considering there is so much that the engine can do especially now. Its not really fair to score everything including the full potential of the engine if you haven't seen it yet.

Just because 1.4 4 has the option to use Scripts and make technically everythink possible, it's everythink but
easy to use and not what SMBX stand for a Editor with
nearly endless possilbilies and a easy to use Overlay.
2.0 has all the New NPCs already in the Game for everyone to use while it still offers the option to create own NPCs aswell.

SMBX2 has a more robust scripting system that can do more things than what is available in 38A's engine.

I also figured out how scripts work and made a classic Tryclyde, Thunder Birdo, Meta Knight, SMB3 Koopalings, Flying Spiny, and Clawgrip.

Not everything is possible in 1.4, 38A's script engine can do only so much, second, npc packs exist in 38A as well and the 38A community has made a lot of them which are easy to use if you have the minimal knowledge of using the magical patcher for scripts. Yeah 2.0 has them now as "vanilla" features but that doesn't make that big of a difference for experienced creators as they can utilize most of the potential of the engine in order for this to not be a problem(like lets say your custom npc replaces a npc that you want to use, well then you change the ID of the custom npc to a npc that you won't use, doesn't seem that hard to do)(and lately, only experienced creators in 38A have been using 38A). But if 38A is still working on his engine, then i hope he implements the feature of adding more npcs as vanilla feature.

I'm also trying to make Kamek out of scripts now.
NO, NOT Magikoopas, but Kamek that was made by TheCreator520 and requires scripts aswell as Dedede and Shockwave Birdo.
anyone wanna see one of the scripts I made in action?

I found a glitch/bug: When using the SMW doors, the warp will only be active is the player walks to the right.

2.0 MAGLX3 is great, not to lie.
but 1.4.4 has stronger scripting.
2.0 MAGLX3 has Fryguy and Reznor as new bosses, sure, but Reznor could also be made by replacing NPC-164 and putting a fire generator.
Fryguy could be made via Lakitu and Fighter Fly reskins.
I'm gonna use MAGLX3 a little more.

No, 1.4 has a weaker scripting, 2.0's scripting can do way more stuff than 1.4.

It appears that it happens on certain occasions since it worked fine in another level.

that's my opinion. there's WAY more stuff scripted in 1.4.

by the way: I made a level with MAGLX3. I'll go back to 1.4.4

You probably accidentally set a warp direction. Delete the warp altogether, set it to a door-warp before placing it and then replace them. This should fix the issue- it's not exclusive to this version, just a consequence of setting a warp direction for a pipe and then changing warp type to door.
