I know this may sound a bit off-topic and also someone would not consider me a normal person but
I don't like Smash games, they just don't call my attention...
That's perfectly fine, it doesn't appeal to everyone.

Bowser, Ridley, K. Rool, and now the plant too.
I like it how you play all these big tough heavy fighters and then just,
Plant.

Well I have stumbled across interesting features of that franchise, I might give it a try some day

Yoshi.
Also play a lot of Pokemon Trainer, Pichu, and Wolf, plus occasionally Fox when I'm not taking myself too seriously.

Though it's an old game by now, you could try Brawl's Subspace Emissary. That was an amazing mode.

The one character I've consistently played for three and a half years now is Mega Man.

I have a few, but my top three are probably Diddy Kong, Mega Man, and Palutena.

I have only owned two consoles given to me by my parents, non-nintendo. The other consoles were a PS2 and the recently bought (if you count six months as recently) SNES Classic. As you can probably guess the only experience I could fathom with the Smash franchise was the original N64 title through an emulator, which let's be honest, nobody plays it if not for experiencing the first title in the series. I could not emulate any games on the Gamecube or subsequent consoles properly. My main on that game was and will always be Captain Falcon. Can't really say about the other games since I haven't played any of them, although I do have a vague memory of trying out Brawl at a convention and getting my ass kicked so freaking hard because I wasn't used to playing with the Wii Remote.

I've never played the original Smash Bros. What's it like? Also yeah, I'd get beaten hard too if I used a Wii Remote to play Smash Bros. Brawl.

The game has a total of twelve playable characters: Link, Mario, Luigi, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Ness, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, and Yoshi. Out of these twelve characters, four were unlocked after beating the game each time, meaning that in order to unlock all characters you had to play through the game four times. Of course, to unlock them you had to ring 'em out.
As you can imagine, the game is really short but incredibly fun to play. But considering how many consider Melee to be the ultimate example of what an SMB game should be I guess I'm missing out big time here. And even then I had to play on my own because I had no friends to play with.

So I guess it's just good old simple fun huh? Also, don't feel left out about not playing Melee. It may be praised, but it's a seriously buggy and broken game, Mr Game and Watch's shield doesn't even work! Also, it's pretty hard on beginners too. I'm not saying not to play Melee, I'm just saying that it's no big deal if you haven't played it yet.

I had fun playing the original SMB, that much I'm not denying. In fact, living in ignorance may be what allowed me to have the good healthy fun I hunger for. I realize now something: I can't say for sure that I'll enjoy SMBM more than the original, but neither I can say that it'll be buggy to the point of it being unenjoyable. Though, there has to be a reason it is so good if people played the heck out of it. In the end, I'll have to play it for myself to find out.

Melee is mainly praised for its speed and insane amount of movement options as well as tech. Its popularity surged competitively when Brawl came out, because Brawl kinda sucked as a true test of competitive skill (it’s designed for casual play, has random tripping, and is incredibly slow compared to Melee). I personally don’t enjoy the amount of technical skill required for Melee, but it’s incredibly impressive to watch and fun to play casually for me.
In Melee I played Jigglypuff and Captain Falcon generally, but most of the roster was at least a little bit fun.

My mains are King K. Rool and Greninja (which was my main back in Smash 4). I'm also pretty decent with Incineroar, Toon Link and Fox.

As it stands right now it's mainly Wolf, Ice Climbers, and Ganondorf.
