the other two levels i made are here too, and i got rid of the big logos for them. not because i didn't like them but because i wanted the thread to be more readable

i've been working on this level for a while now, but i just now finished it up to post it here. i know i said the next level would be easier when i posted secret palace yellow, but then i got into making kaizo levels. also it's been three years

Well then, I guess I have to record this in one sitting. For the record for everyone else, it took me 1783 deaths to complete the first half, 2022 for the second half for a grand total of 3805. I also gave the first half a 6/20 in difficulty, and the second half a 4/20 in difficulty with the exception of a single jump in the level making it a 10/20. Now that it is release, I have to record the full version all in one go without the checkpoint. At least the level was fun.

Hey look another level i can't play because of its difficulty. Well i will comment on the screenshots you have provided so far.
I like the aesthetic choices and it seems like there is a lot of precise jumping involved judging by the npc placement.
Well i will be waiting until someone posts a video on the level so i can post a comment on the gameplay.

I have a video of both halves already record, I just have to record it deathless due to some agreed upon rules with Bread.

Edit: The level takes one minute and forty-five seconds to beat. I died at the one minute and thirty-two second mark on a single sitting run. (No checkpoint.)

Edit 2: Since the public release, I have gotten to the second half six times total. On average, once an hour. three times, I have died to the final jump. Every odd attempt at the second half I might add.

Edit 3: I can confirm that 90% of my deaths take place after the second screenshot. I want to avoid spoilers as much as possible with text.

Edit 4: Okay, want something that can anger me a lot, very quickly?

Heavy Bill Cave looks somewhat Kaizo and I like that. I don't see too many Kaizo levels on SMBX.

Haven't tried Heavy Bill Cave yet, but Secret Palace Yellow turned out to be a short, but fun level. The aesthetics are nice and simple, which is all you gotta do for me to be honest. Looking forward to more of your levels.

Heavy Bill Cave is not impossible actually. At least two people (myself included) have beaten it.

i made another level, it's called high stakes forest. much like heavy bill cave, it is very difficult. much like secret palace yellow, it isn't very long. unlike both of those levels, it takes place in a forest. i hope you have fun playing it!

since i don't like the physics patch, i turned it off in the forest level and surprisingly almost the entire level is still beatable without it, nice job! even the two setups which i found impossible might be doable with some pixel perfect trickery, but that doesn't really matter as the level overall was great:

pacing was fantastic, letting you see some things which you might need a cycle for ahead of time (like seeing the koopa when bouncing off the spiny) while still maintaining that classic kaizo breakneck obstacle-after-obstacle pace. use of the little platform things was great too, but i do have one gripe: i think it should've just been made that the yellow platform kills you outright if it carries you to the ceiling, cause i found myself jumping too high on the very last setup and killing myself on the ceiling spikes which are hidden from view. other than that no issues.

also i like the music choice but it should probably be a little bit louder, as tends to be the case with spc files.
