Which SMBX version are you using?

Postby KingBowser24 » Thu Jan 24, 2019 2:09 am

Heh, I'm still using 1.3. Thinking about going to 1.4 or 2.0 though. I took a look at 2.0 a while back, seemed like it had a little bit of a learning curve, so i stuck with 1.3, since i know my way around that.

Btw, how good are 2.0 and 1.4.4 (Assuming they're not the same thing)?

SMBX2 is the best path if you are coming from 1.3, as it is still SMBX, so your episodes and levels are guaranteed to work.

1.4 is the 38A engine, so you will run into issues.

I use SMBX 2.0 for many reasons instead of 1.3 and 1.4

I use smbx 38A/1.4.4 for my project and i use 2.0 to work on other projects or design standalone levels as levels in 2.0 get more attention and PGE makes designing levels way easier.
So 1.4 has more vanilla features than 2.0 beta 3 but teascript is way more limited than what luna lua is capable of doing and PGE is just an amazing editor to use and i wish it could have supported 38A features so i can use it on 38A but i heard that there will be an update on PGE in the future that will support 38A features so i would suggest using 2.0 instead of 38A as beta 4 is coming soon and it will have what 38A has.

SMBX2, it is just superior, less buggy, more friendly, while also not having a community as hostile and childish as 38As is.

Uhm, nobody is hostile in the 38A community and there are only few people who are childish but every community has these people because not everyone will be over 13+ years old in the community.
I don't know where did you meet these guys but in the 38A discord server and PGE forums, i haven't seen anyone like this since a long time.

Don't be stuck in time. I changed my opinion and accepted 38A.

The community is alright yeah, but 38A himself, I seen his recent actions.

Anyways, I think I'll be sticking to 2.0 on the rare occasion I do open up SMBX anymore.

OMG

I prefer 1.3 and 1.4

I used to detest 2.0 because of its cluttered editor but I decided to give it a try again for Rosalina's Satellite

The legacy editor is the cluttered one.
If you persevere with PGE you will probably be making levels more efficiently and hate the legacy editor within a month.

I love this game but I do not know if it will run with my setup!
Thanks!

I Use The New SMBX Revived Verison.
What is supposed to be that? It's probably an unofficial version

Yes, this is fake like SMBX Ultimate, but im sure this was the name of a once real version, that was cancelled like NSMBX and SMBX Remastered.
Posts like " "Insert solution to user needing help" I just wanted to tell you that you can download " Insert Fake SMBX Version" at "insert scam website" are a fake.
