Mine's 9º November. Nine in Portuguese is "Nove". Strange, huh?

Definetly not, since our calendar is an abstracted version of the calendar in ancient rome. They started with March, though, And had part of the months named after their emperors or gods. We still find 'March' in the planet Mars for example.
The others were numbers.
September means as much as 'the seventh month'
October 'the eight'
November 'the ninth'
December 'the tenth'

And since a bunch of languages have roots in latin language, it makes sense that these numbers sound similar.

(But I gotta say, do we really need to congratulate every single registered user? emrys02 has posted TWO posts here, hasn't been online for more than a month, and I didn't even know him/her until I saw the birthday note at the bottom of the index page.)
