SMBX2 (2.0) is a recommended version to download if anyone still uses in SMBX 1.3.0.1 in 2018, and 1.3.0.1 in 2018 is outdated and 2.0 is more newer than SMBX 1.3.0.1!

this has been said a good 100 times by now. That's why this thread even exists.

Just because something is recommended doesn't mean it's required. If people want to continue using 1.3.0.1, they will. It's like when Nintendo releases a new console, no one is ever required to get it just because it's new. If they're interested, they'll get it. Otherwise, they'll stick to what they already have. But if you're complaining because not everyone is using 2.0 instead of 1.3.0.1, get over it. Some people will even use 38A if they want to. It's their choice and they don't have to listen to what others say about it, whether it's shit or not.

It's such a big file.. Kinda messy too. I couldn't even enter a level through a world map
I use legacy, 1.3.0.1 AND I WILL LOYALLY SERVE IT!
(until 2.0 is out of beta hehehehhe)

Same here, as of now making maps in the PGE editor that SMBX 2.0 beta uses I always have issues and just like the legacy editor more (dispite PGE's convinent and cool new fetures, like adding custom blocks without changing one of the pre-existing tiles from the game like in the legacy editor).

I used 1.3 from the start but when my friend showed me 1.4.4 that's when I switched as there were so many things! I like SMBX 1.4.4 for many reasons but my favorite is it's simplicity, I just started using any version of smbx like 5 months ago and I already know enough to make a good level imo.

alot of people have been using the updated versions, meanwhile im one of those people who still uses 1.3.0.1
just asking who else uses it
I still use it, but only because 1.4.4 won't open for me.
Does SMBX2 open for you?
It did, but it was way too complicated for me to get it to work. Now, I can actualy open 1.4.4, and I'm going to continue Progress on SMBX-T.

Didn't you get 2.0 to work for you? Why would you use 1.3 instead?

Well, I explained that on this topic
So I downgraded my project to 1.3.0.1

Yep, I still use it too. Though I also use PGE aside from the legacy editor.

Yeah me too. Isn't Wohlstand aiming to made testing with PGE possible in the future?

Well, you can test with PGE engine (or "alpha tester") but it's not part of SMBX so it's not recommended. So a way to test in SMBX without LunaLua would be great I guess (at least for the 1.3 users)

Agreed. Also, does SMBX2 support testing though? Like, in Beta 4 and Beta 3, can you test with the editor?
