The main thing that makes it more likely a new game (from the Nintendo Direct Trailer) is the fact that there will be the Breath of a Wild Link instead of the Twilight Princess Link who was in Smash 4. Because I doubt they would put in the effort to change Link like that if they were just remaking Smash 4.

Speaking of returning characters from Sm4sh, if Capcom is returning Ryu back in Smash 5, then I wanna see SNK add Terry Bogard (From Fatal Fury/King of Fighters) added to the character roster!
The only character I want right now is Porky
Now that Ridley did it, Is the only nintendo main villain from Brawl that is still not playable, a third Mother rep would be a nice thing, and is the character that connects Ness with Lucas... also, Smash needs more villains.

Porky would be a really weird character to implement in Smash tho. Ridley was able to work just by sizing him down, but Porky has a giant spider machine. How would they make him move around in a way that makes sense?

I might think it is possible to add Porky in Smash 5, but as a boss if Smash 5 has a story mode

A Porky boss was already done in Brawl, so that'd just be beating a dead horse imho.

Actually, he would have it more easy than Ridley, remember the spider mech from brawl? well, it was actually made 2-3 times bigger of what it really was in Mother 3, here is a comparison between Brawl and Mother 3:
But, even then, Porky had a different more suitable Spider mech in Earthbound, with a better size and shape, and being that Earthbound was the only Mother game that came outside Japan, is actually a more popular spider mech:
If you have doubts that this will fit, I have 2 images of size comparison with Bowser, one a concept art and the other a comparison between sprites of Porky and Ness and then with Bowser:
But I can understand if you didn't knew this, I also didn't knew it until I started to care about the character being in Smash... but yeah, basically, Porky would be even more easy to implement in the game than Ridley... I hope the fact that Earthbound was in the SNES Mini helps Porky's chances to be in the game, even if I really doubt it.

It's less about his size and more about mobility. It'd be hard to make him be able to move around as freely as other characters when he's inside a clunky machine all the time.
Similarly, the dev team behind Melee wanted to include the Excitebike racer as playable, but they couldn't figure out how to make him jump around believably. With Porky's big mech, this would be even harder to do.

So, like Bowser Jr. in his Koopa clown car? I have no idea of what are you talking about, a motorcycle and a spider robot are totally different things.
What do you mean with it will be hard to make him move freely? the spider mech is the one that walks around, and porky is just inside of it, just like Bowser Jr. is inside the clown car.
The ONLY thing that could have any problem would be grabbing items, but since the spider mech have 6 legs, it could use the front ones as hands when grabs stuff and keep walking with the other 4.
If is hard for you to imagine how exactly the character would work, I leave you this potential moveset:
I doubt that we will see any newcomer that isn't on this list for Smash Ultimate.
As for subspace/adventure mode: The game gets planned at the start of development. Subspace craze cropped up around the time of its announcement. E.g. several years after the game was fully conceptualised. The only way I can see an adventure mode happening is through DLC.

Why would you doubt to see anyone that is not from that list when Sakurai always adds unexpected newcomers to Smash, like Wii fit trainer or Duck Hunt.
Specially when there has been strong rumors that Elma from Xenoblade is probably in this new smash... and specially when that list isn't even the real ballot results, characters like Wart, Groose, Lanky kong or Monita have a small chance, Poo was already deconfirmed, FI hasn't been relevant for Zelda in a long time (and I haven't seeing any support for her, people prefer Impa).
Also that list doesn't even have a single Pokemon from the 8th gen.
