Yup, exactly. The pattern you gave needs to be more noticeable, if you see it with no zoom, the pattern is almost unnoticeable. Try adding some contrast and that'll fix the problem.

Yes, okay, I will make the darker fill even darker later. Thanks for the suggestion.

Nice tileset you have there. One suggestion though, try toning up the entire tileset's contrast, it looks somewhat misty and wouldn't fit for the actual SMB3 Waterfall background if you wouldn't recolor it as well.
Will this do ?

I'd give a cookie to whoever guess where this tileset is from.

@Dragonmaster146: I have no holy idea of what the hell's that tileset, but I'd like to know. It looks pretty cool.
@Emral: Desert tileset I presume? By the way, how are you doing with the lab WIP tileset I sent you?

Yeah, desert.
I was hardly being productive lately, but I was thinking about some Megaman 1 Gutsman Stage platforms to add, maybe.

Showing off my WIP Grassy Canyon tileset. What do you guys think about it?

More a WIP World map than a WIP tileset, but I don't mind. I'll eventually convert it into tiles most likely anyways.
Also working on two labs at once. Plus the desert thing.
One is my own lab tileset, which I barely started. It'll become pretty big with probably even some gadgets like cables n ropes n shit.
Here's the one I received from Natsu. He showed it off a while ago on the screens thread, but I've added some stuff which I found to be interesting.

That's a nice start. Is us supposed to be an abandoned lab tileset?
By the way, what's that red splash thing on one of the monitors?

I guess it could work as an abandoned lab tileset aswell. I was trying to create an unusual, metallic pattern with a spiralling top. The ideas is that the spiralling top can burn and freeze, creating hazardous and slippery environments respectively.
I'll rework the splash as it was supposted to resemble the lowest laser frame but there's no indication that it is.

How does this look? It's called 'Mossy Castleyard'. I recommend using this for SMB1 levels.

Nice, it looks pretty cool. I assume this isn't the first time you make a tileset, am I right?
The shading looks pretty cool, although I'd suggest to tone up the shading on the grass. Other than that it looks awesome.

Thank you and no this isn't my first time. I really want people to use this sometime, I make these for the SMBX community but not for myself as I can't even play SMBX.
I can fix the grass, make it lighter, a download will be made for this tomorrow. Again, thank you for liking this.

Nah, the brightness is ok, just tone up the contrast, if you zoom out you might notice there's no color variation at all.

Oh I get it. I'll try to make the top part of the grass shinier as if it is reflecting the sun.
Edit: Meh, I'll just use the colors used in SMB1 grass.

Maybe extend the side-tiles to be closer to the 16x16 border.

I've been thinking of that, but it would require quite a bit of work. I will add a few more tiles, too.
