SMB2 Red Birdo (LunaDLL Required)

Postby FanofSMBX » Sun May 18, 2014 12:08 am

Yes, this replaces Birdo! There's a 1/3 chance of spitting an egg, and a 2/3 chance of spitting a fireball.

Now that is a perfect Red Birdo for your SMB2 episodes. FanofSMBX has completed the mission impossible. Nice work!

I tried putting this in a level but the eggs/fireballs are invisible.

Also, would it be possible to make Birdo also spit out Goombas, Bomb-Ombs, saw blades, poison mushrooms, smb3 throwable blue bricks etc? I tried adding them but failed i suck at lunadll

If its not showing up, lunadll isn't working. I made the egg invisible. Did you replace the exe AND add the DLL in your SMBX folder?

Yes. The demos counter shows up correctly, too.

Did you put the text strings I posted in "lunadll.txt" in your level's graphics folder?

Yes. I found out the problem, too. It works pretty well. I made Birdo shoot all kinds of NPC and it works flawlessly. Do you know a way to increase Birdo's health with LunaDLL or do I just have to use layers and events? I know I might be derailing this topic a bit, but it'd be great to know.

#(change this to section Birdo is in)
SetHits,39,(change this to section Birdo is in),(Birdo' health starts at 0 and increases by 1 each hit, and 3 kills her. Set it to -2 for five hits, 2 for one hit, etc.),0,2,0

Just a little thing, but I saw that with the red birdo graphics there are some codes of the vegetables too. Why?

If you don't include those, then some NPCs don't use their graphics and hit box correctly.

May could you find an another way to make it correctly? Vegetables are always used in SMB2 levels.

God red birdo? There are no god birdos in SMB2.

superhammerbros100, don't make fun of typos. Christian07 should have typed the post slowly in the first place.

If I want to make an NPC, how would I know the code and how it functions?
