No problem, feel free to post the level you made in this topic(you may need to change the name first tho), and i can expect you to do great things with these!

I put the background in the level folder with the correct name and it does not work. Why does that happen?

When a background graphic is smaller than the 800x600 screen which SMBX uses, it won't show up. Since spritesheets are kept in 1x1 pixel format, you can try resizing the images by 200% (making them 2x as big).

Thanks, I will try to do that.
EDIT: It still doesn't work.

You should try extending the background's borders. With a looping background, just paste the image to the right of the original image so that they don't overlap but also don't have space in between each other for horizontal extension.
For vertical scrolling, on the KSSU Grassland bg (the first one), for example, extending the image to the top and just filling it with the darkest shade of the sky should be enough.

I did this and it looks like it works now. But I click the button for the "clouds" background from SMB3 and it does not change the background. Is it some glitch in SMBX?

I think i know the problem.
The Kirby backgrounds are PNG files, whereas the graphics files used in normal SMBX are GIF files. You may need to change their type.
If that does not work let the admins see if they can figure it out and use the backgrounds to make one suitable for SMBX.

There is no clouds background in the folder, and I already changed the type of the files. :/

Is everything working now? Else tell me which background file you're working with and which kirby background you're using.

It still doesn't work. I changed the size, changed it to a GIF file, wrote the correct name, put it into the correct folder and it still doesn't work. I'm trying to use the fisrt background spaceman2028 posted (the one with the hills and stars).

right-click & save as background2-32.gif
I can't do anything about the reduced quality, sadly, since it's bound to the limits of the .gif file format.

Yay! It worked! The reduced quality does not matter, it still looks good. I'm gonna give special thanks to both of you when I post the level in the battle levels topic.

I know that this topic is old but here are some other backgrounds when you still want them:
Save them as background 2-13 and background 2-52.

Looks pretty good, Martroid! I'll save these in an unused episode so we can use them later when necessary.
