My first major point regarding the comic is that I think the jokes and punchlines are often lost or misconstrued because you are not completely fluent in English. Take episode 1 for example:

I mean, it's not even like if it worth it or something
At first glance I didn't even completely understand the joke. I had to check the comments before I knew what was going on. It's not your fault that your English isn't perfect, but I feel like you should have either a fluent or native speaker check your comic for you before you post them. Unless part of the charm of the comic is supposed to be that it's full of grammar mistakes?

My second point is that I feel like they don't often consist of any joke. Episode 1 had (albeit a very poorly explained) punchline of "ur gay". I get that it's funny to say "ur gay" but there are a range of better punchlines you could have used which better illustrate the fact that the character is pissed off and doesn't want to argue about it any more. Even a simple "shut up" or "fuck off" sits better in my mind.

To be honest you haven't really gone the right way about these two. There has to be a visual element as well as a pun which is immediatelly recognisable in a single-panel comic. Episode 2 is almost a commentary on a stereotype based on a political opinion. South Park does this very well. The comic does not. It's too vague of an idea to fit into one panel. Episode 4 is based on a word that even I had to look up (I am 20 years old and native English). Also it doesn't??? make any? fucking sense??? What's the joke in it??
See some better examples here.

Finally, I think you need to learn to accept feedback (in whatever form) on your comics. Maybe you were upset by Aero's parody of your comic. I think it's the funniest one in the series so far because there is a punchline. But it is no way to reply with a five-point angry message without trying to understand why he might have posted it.

Also, now I am going to reply to some of your responses.

That's because people weren't getting the joke in the comic. You even admitted you raged.
arcade999 wrote:I cannot do good comics at the moment because I am on my mac.
This is not an excuse LMAO macs are most often used for graphic design. No one is criticising the art style (that's another thing for another day). What Aero was criticising was your imperfect English and the state of the comic.
arcade999 wrote:Ok, so now we REALLY get into whole new magical world with what seems to be a... retarded guy screaming? Uh, ok. Next we have a screwed-up plan of a guy saying he has no arms and... what the hell is even the background. What the hell is even the context. Last of all, we have two last sketchs, the first one appears to be a bunch of stickmens running saying ''oy'', and the last one is uh, a scene with, then again, fat stickmens running everywhere in what seems to be a much richer city, wich I assume went to the McDonald or something. Oh and I forgot, they are all saying ''eh''. What even is that thing; mcoking the arms I drew? Me screaming? Uuuuuh, a denounciation of capitalism?
It's referring to Hawkeyeone's comic. Spoiler: it's shit. It had no punchlines or jokes other than pointless xenophobia.
arcade999 wrote:That's a pretty silly remark; you are talking like if everyone were right-handed. There is also a great total of 0% of constructivity within it.
Fun fact! Left-handed people make up 10% of the population. The implication here is that it looks like you're drawing them with your non-dominant hand. It's a criticism of your art style.

TL;DR MY MAIN FEEDBACK POINTS:
- Either improve your English and learn from your mistakes, or have someone read the comic before you post it.
- Make sure there is actually a joke in the comic.
- Find an art style to make your comics more aesthetically pleasing.
- Learn to accept criticism in all forms and don't bother replying to them to seem clever.

That's all the feedback I can offer. Please do not ignore it. I am not attacking you.
Thanks for the feedback. I understand your points and I'll try to take care of them. For the ''ur gay joke'', it's actually that since the other guy gave a valuable point, he stands motionless for a second, to finally reply with ''ur gay'', showing that he simply don't know how to argue.

''To be honest you haven't really gone the right way about these two. There has to be a visual element as well as a pun which is immediatelly recognisable in a single-panel comic. ostentatious''

Oh sorry, I didn't knew you ignored that word. Actually, where I live, ostentatious signs (in a religious context) means, for example, a burka or a kippa, and it causes a pretty big debate in the medias and there is a lot of opinions on the subject (for example, should a woman wear a burka in a bus? what about a policeman with a cross? and stuff). I understand it might not be the reality where you live.

''That's because people weren't getting the joke in the comic. You even admitted you raged.''

To comment here, you really have to understand the context. Ask someone that was here in codehaus in the moment for futher informations. And yes, they were getting the joke of my comic they said, but that it wasn't funny. I first tought they weren't getting it, but they were, and it caused an AWFUL pandemonium. I was in a moment of confusion where I didn't really knew what was happening and lalalala.

''This is not an excuse LMAO macs are most often used for graphic design. No one is criticising the art style (that's another thing for another day). What Aero was criticising was your imperfect English and the state of the comic. ''

You haven't got it once more. I am not judging you, since you probably wasn't aware, but the thing is, my mac is 10 year old and most of the avalible softwares aren't compatible anymore, so I am using paintbrush, sort of MS paint alter-ego and it was the only thing I had to make ''arcade's adventures''. I talked about that strip because I tought ghosthawk was referencing it with the red text, since in the strip, at the end, the screen is covered by a red text saying ''cringe''. It wasn't an excuse in the main debate tho.

''Fun fact! Left-handed people make up 10% of the population. The implication here is that it looks like you're drawing them with your non-dominant hand. It's a criticism of your art style.''

I perfectly know that information, but do that mean they doesn't exist? Obviously not. What if I actually WAS left handed? Christian02/rudeguy acted like if they were only right handed people.

I have ideas of much better and understandable jokes for the future.

You should make an episode about:
  • Gun Violence
  • Cringy Memers*
  • The U.S. Government
  • Immigrants
*People who overuse memes/use dead memes all the time

Again there's no context, no punch line, and it tries to build but it's just so repetitive (build would have been more effective just across three frames)

I feel like these types of comic strips really don't need context? They're not really joke strips per se but more of a social commentary of sorts. I wasn't a huge fan of the earlier ones but this one's actually pretty relatable (and is intentionally general with the lack of text) and I don't have much bad to say about it- if I could change anything it would be to keep the text general but have actual text in the dialogue boxes (instead of scribbles, maybe "something political," "something uninformed," "something intentionally offensive," etc)

As for the earlier ones, others have said most of the things I would have said, but this one resonates quite a bit more imo

So, this is about someone wanting to have an important speech and he gets silenced by noise and dismissed completely?

The way I interpret it (could be wrong) it's a guy talking, maybe debating with someone, and being overwhelmed with other people being negative, as he slowly delves into madness, and when he finally lashes out against them HE is shown as the source of the problem, not the people spreading negativity.

Following your line of thought, then it could be something like a teacher trying to speak in a crowded class but no one pays attention to him. But when he finally gets mad at them, he's called mean.
This is so relatable, it happens with someone I know almost everyday.

You don't need context in order to convey a message. This comic is an example of that. It's simple, which is why the message is easily overlooked, which is what's happening. The comic isn't funny, it's relatable. And for that, I think it serves its purpose very well.

This attitude was already practiced in Cold War regarding the mutual arms race

it's like Justin is trying too hard with being respectful that he's actually being offensive and using stereotypes.
