Raising the brightness could work, i guess.
That won't really do it. You just need to choose some colours that are different enough from each other that you can see the differences between the browns and the differences between the greens

How do you fix the brightness / contrast in a graphic without overdoing it? I sorta understand shading like up left etc. but i'm not very good in putting it into practice.

What do you think? I need feedback, and possible, i'll made this an actual graphic, with BGOs and NPCs.
Keep this in mind that the graphics is still 1x1 pixels, and in 16x16 pixels yet, so i can resize it when i can finalize it.
I dont like it, it consists of many flaws
-Constant act of pillowchading
-Very dull
-Very little amount of colour
-As you mentioned, it has 1x1 pixels

what he said was that it was still in its 1x1 pixel format. It's still in the drawing phase
Also there are a lot more colors than you think, they're just barely distinguishable.
although yes there is pillowshading involved in the fill and that's generally something you want to avoid.
as far as the fill goes, it's kinda bland. Instead of one solid color, why not add some texture to it?

Isn't that a recolour of Witchking666's graphics? (Although I think they said they got the idea from someone else)
Looking pretty good so far!

Ooooh, a blue one would look really nice. Perhaps for an ice pyramid/castle type thingy? Idk, but I think a blue one would look good.

It's too bright. I suggest using the ice or water pallette if you're using the SMB3 pallette

I kinda wanted it to be bright but thanks for the idea of using water pallets for my next variation

lol I didn't expect that it will look like that in water pallette. Anyways, just lower the brightness of the color of the first version you've done.

Doing that made transparency issues so I made an attempt to fix them this happened:

Can't you just put an overlay onctop of that to make it more blue?
