Super Mario Brothers: The Lost Kingdom

Postby Jacob Heverly » Tue Dec 12, 2017 6:20 pm

Mario and Luigi were traveling pipelines to the princess's castle, when they fell down a break in the pipe, leading to a cavern, which held more pipelines. These led to many different islands that held captured toads! Mario and Luigi agreed to take down the evil baddies and save the toads, returning them back to the castle back home. A download for World 1 will be released soon.

World 1: Delta Land
World 2: Icy Slopes
World 3: Magma Peaks

The project looks nice imo... Liking the fact you recreated the original SMB1 tileset in 16-bit. ^^

The screenshots look really empty and bland with barely anything going on in them. I'd recommend adding some more enemies and coins, as well as making the level design a bit more varied, cause right now the screenshots all look like the exact same level with different graphics.

Thanks for the advice. I know they are pretty bland and similar, as I have only made the first level for each of the three worlds, and the final screenshot is from an only half-completed level. I wanted to get it out quickly.

don't wanna be annoying, but I would recommend to be careful while mixing 8 and 16 bits, as well as different mario games with a different graphic style, such as smb1 and smb3

good chance with your project tho ;)

There is a lot of clash though, smb1, smb1 all stars, and smb3, i also recommend that it should follow the same colour pallet.
