The 1px graphics really don't fit with other SMBX elements. I think that the masks are also poorly done as well, especially on the red coins

yep, i was expecting that, i let SMBX do the masks, i just tried to make a SM64 style pack.
also, i replaced the dragon coins with Red Coins, as Dragon coins make a different sound to regular coins.

This isn't constructive at all.
On that note, I'm sorry to say that this does not look very good. 3D elements mixed in with 16-bit spriting/graphics really isn't sitting right. I'd suggest either sticking to 16-bit or change everything to look 3D-rendered, but the latter would still probably look poor unless you spent a lot of time perfecting it.

Not necessarily, you can mix the 3D styles with the old game sprites (SMB1, SMB3, SMW) and you can be orthodox with the artistic/sprite style without changing the presentation of the product (The level or episode). Well, you have to have creativity to try to mix the sprites and that fits you good.
This is my way of seeing this .
An example of what I will soon upload in my SMBx project: Edition 64

I mean, it can be done nicely, but it's a rather meticulous process to do right. Super Mario Maker's NSMBWiiU theme with it's 3D-rendered sprites and New Super Mario bros. DS are good examples of mixing 2D and 3D and it looking pretty good.

"no offence"
Anyways, the only thing I like in this pack is the doors, mostly because they are the least bad looking things in this pack. Everything is riddled with 1x1 pixels, and they just don't fit in smbx. If you did this sort of thing, but made them yourself to look fitting in smbx while looking like sm64, then this could work!

Yea! Those look a ton better than the ones in the pack! If you keep that up, this pack will look amazing!

This looks nice! If you are wanting more GFX for this pack, you can look at the files in Super Mario 63, a 2d verison of SM64 made in flash. I can send you the contents of the files if you want.
