Hello, I would like to do custom levels in SMBX level editor but I still have no idea on how to make custom graphics even though I've been familiar with this game since 2012. I would really appreciate some help with finding a guide or tutorial on it.
You could have discovered that quickly if you pressed F1 On the editor mode, it appears a text explaining alot of the editor, even how to make custom sprites.
arcade999, thanks but it wasn't really the "Step by step" - tutorial I was looking for. I find it all very confusing and it looks more like explanations on how the graphics works. That's not a bad thing to know either but it doesn't help me to begin with.
I would probably need to watch someone do a custom sprite step by step from start to finish in order to understand all of this.
If you were to have read through the whole thing it has a bunch of step-by-step tutorial parts and also important fundamental theory behind shading sprites and other various things. It also provides links at the bottom for more on spriting if you don't find it sufficient in of itself. Tbh I never did any tutorials, I just observed what was done in other sprites in SMBX and learned from there

It literally says right at the top of the tutorial how to choose what program to use. Why would you use a graphics tablet for sprinting even? Personally I use Paint.NET
