I was actually just thinking about that. Apparently, there was some talk about the Wii U, but the Switch is now more likely. Personally, I think the game will make it.

I wish a truly great Super Smash Bros game would release. SSB4 is good, but it was rushed and affected by the 3DS.

This Superstar Saga remake BETTER mean that a Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story remake are on their way. Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story were my jam as a kid, and seeing them remade with redone songs and better graphics will let me die happy.

Drawn to Life for Switch. It probably won't happen since the story has basically ended, plus I'm not even sure who owns the rights to it (it was THQ, but they went bankrupt), but a guy can dream!
Also having four players in Super Mario Odyssey would be awesome too - even two players controlling Mario and Luigi would be great.

In Fire Emblem forums there's a similar system to SMBX, the difference is that it's a place for romhacks, just like SMWC

I don't know about SMBX 2.0, but what about something like the Donkey Kong Country Level Builder/Resource Editor on the DKC Atlas? It's not complete, but games can be made with it.

I wish all games were fun and not simply interactive.
