Certain Custom Music Won't Play

I've been playing SMBX for nearly 3 years now, but I've always had an issue with certain Custom Music. Regular .mp3 files work just fine, but for some reason, music with an album cover won't. Any music I want that has an album cover I have to use an mp3 converter which just takes too much time. Is there any way to help?

Windows 7 user btw, but I've tried this on my Windows 10 and it also didn't work.

What? What format are they in when they have album art?

Use Audacity (free software), open those files and export them.

Only .mp3 and .wav files will work with 1.3, but if you're using 2.0 or 38A then basically any file should work.

Windows Media player likes to give stuff an album cover.
