Kyasarin and Luminous were two adorable guys for me in the recent past of smb.org, even if I had sporadic contact with them. They inspired me in very positive points. The same also for Darkmatt, despite this last I had just a little direct contact in the old forums.

You're right. Anyways, I was just pointing something that would add positive content and vision to the discussion about them, not the very known "I hate them, because they were so rude with me, etc." argument.

also it's not necessarily "I hate them bc they're rude", it's rather "I hate them bc they destroyed the community and were the most abusive admins in world wide history".

Kyasarin and Luminous did not destroy the community. Also, they're still around and I talked to Kyasarin a few months ago.

This is true, but it's also true that they created the early SMBX community into a very hostile environment. Had redigit put someone else in power who had a clear mind for administration, without thinking that everything they don't like must be eliminated, then the SMBX forums might have ended up in a much better place.

No, I never got any problems with COPPA because I was 13+ when it came over us.

I have some memories about someone asking Kya & Lum's real location (and I had it registered on an old notepad file also...) in the past.

By the way, they just managed that forums with their own strong ideals. Those who wanted to be together in the community, just had to follow the rules. Nothing more.

But, huh, I'm not here to protect and/or defend them with my soul. Maybe they don't even remember who I am [because I never was important in the international community]. But, anyways, we need some counterpoint to the very-very common talk about these two peculiar users (if you wanna consider "Darkmatt" too, say "three" then).

Could be wrong on this but didn't Redigit say at one point that, had Kyasarin and Luminous not been around, he would have closed the original forums sooner? I'm not saying the two of them were nice or that we owe them anything, but still; I suppose you're correct nonetheless in terms of the what-if scenario.

I think I remember Kyasarin being a pretty touchy person, but that was a long time ago that I remember, he's probably a lot different now

Actually, you are right on that. Though I also think that he was just wanting to find the first decently sane person to give power to since the forum attracted so many kids.

E: about Kyasarin: I spoke to him a few years ago, he wasn't nearly as hostile and provocative as he used to be as a moderator/administrator. I didn't think he was a particularly happy person either, but it was much easier to have a decent conversation with him.

There was a group that hacked onto people's profiles in this forums and made them spam, post mature content, and break other rules. At least that is what I heard since I gladly wasn't around when this group was here.
