Completed levels from a WIP micro-episode

Postby regret-index » Wed Jun 28, 2017 4:17 pm

Since it's apparently acceptable to share finished project levels in this levels subforum and the projects subforum is just for showcasing + gathering volunteers, and since these levels are all pretty different from one another anyway...

Here are some of my first levels in SMBX (if most assuredly not my first levels made anywhere), which require the 2.0 Beta 3. The stars here are somewhat opaque optional challenge modifiers rather than alternate paths or puzzles, and are meant for level revisit value in a final product. Said context makes it a little more obvious the SMB3 goal frames are associated with them.

Rite of Spring
The third of five levels in the final project. The first level I made, actually.

Boiling Point
The fourth of five levels in the final project. One point at the end makes a fair bit more sense in the full episode.

Feedback and criticism is always appreciated, of course.

Rite of Spring is very familiar to me.

There is a thread of mine in the projects subforum for these levels' full episode which features level editor slices for both of these levels. As nobody posted any responses to that thread for a few weeks, I decided to post the completed levels in another subforum that is more focused on feedback, separated from the main project.

I would hope that the gap in time between these posts, the relative quantitative restraint, and framing context changes would let this not count as spam. Mostly I'm just seeking feedback for completed and (presumably) non-terrible content.
