Ugh... Im done with this project. i dont even have the data from the old computer.
Just look at Project-Toad.

When was SMBX 1.4.x ever known as the Advance version of SMBX?

He might have been saying the latest version on 1.4 or he may have thought 1.4 is official you would be surprised how many people still think that.

How will the gameplay work? Will it have the same mechanics as Super Mario Run (auto-run, stunts, etc.), or is it just similar by name?

I think it should be like Super Mario Run so that it's special. The screenshots do make it seem like so.
