Frog suit

The only power up I've not seen is the frog suit. Has anyone tried to program the characters to hop when you're in the frog suit?

There's frog suit in SMBX 1.4.

Wii do not support 1.4.4. Sorry for the pun had to but I think it could be possible to make a frog suit in the future but right now I think we should wait for that and yes this is not appropriate for the graphics forum. Maybe the LunaLua subforum...

If so, it's kind of a useless question since the frog suit is in 1.4. Other than that, this is the most confusing statement or question I've seen all year. :/

I don't think a frog suit will be happening in the near future, especially since the 2.0 devs get really assblasted if you continue to ask about it. Must've been all those request threads that sent them over the edge.

I think the frog suit was already made by someone else as a part of a gfx pack

I agree, it's not a very useful power up, but still, I think it should be used, but ONLY for aquatic levels.

Dunno why folks keep interpreting the dev team joking around or not caring as being antagonistic/malicious/what have you. Things like "frog suit when" can get slightly annoying when folks keep asking it, but it's not something we're going to get massively offended or outraged over.

We do have an actual prototype (which has been refined since that video), but we can't implement it as a new powerup ID at the moment and it'll likely be a good long while before that's possible. As for why the frog suit in particular, y'alls guesses are as good as mine. It just became became A Thing when SMBX38A had it and SMBX2 didn't despite the fact that 38A tossed a bunch of other powerups into his engine as well. But regardless of why, people kept asking about the suit so now its' an in-joke among the dev team like RED PLS and Megan.
