smbx crashes code 0cx000008f

Smbx crashes only when I start a certain level on the map. There is another post about this (aka viewtopic.php?f=35&t=16615) but the link to fix the problem does not work.

It crashed when it tried to resolve npc txt config files.

Therefore:
1.) Be sure that the full path to the level file does not contain any special characters.
2.) Try to run SMBX as admin.

So, I tried running it as an admin, and that didn't help. And I made sure that the path didn't have any special characters, which it didn't. So smbx still crashes with the same crash log.

There aren't any .txt files in the folder. Although I should note that the level file is a .lvlx file with over 100 sections (my current project is a 100 level episode). Would that effect it in any way?

I mean, in order to make 100 levels, one level in each section, would I have to make 5 .lvl files and include only 20 levels, one per section, in each level?

Well, then of course it crashes. LVLX is not supported in smbx

oh ok. I'll have to adjust then...

Also if it isn't supported why is there an option to save a level as .lvlx? Or will there ever be support for .lvlx in later versions of smbx?

Just an idea I had. Basically an smbx version of the 100 trials in super paper mario

Now that you mention it, I think that I'd be better off with this. That way I don't have to cram all lunadll's, events, layers, etc into one huge level.

I don't mean 100 full blown levels. One trial is just a small room with a few enemies or a boss and you have to defeat them all to move to the next trial/room.
