Oh, then how the Hell am I going to edit Sm4sh RPG * videos with any of the annotations to display how much damage & how much health the fighter has?!?
*Sm4sh RPG is a "Work in Progress" YouTube series I'm planing on uploading to my channel.
Why exactly do you need annotations for that? You can easily do it with video editing, and it's also much easier to do it that way. Also, nice self-advertising dude.
On-topic: I don't really mind they do it, considering I'm mostly watching YouTube on my iPad, and therefore I can't see them, but I still don't understand why they haven't made them watchable on mobile yet. Also, they look kinda bland and dated imo, since they were created in 2008, so I can understand that they're trying to keep up with the times (Unlike 4chan). End cards are kinda cool though, but I think they need an expansion before they can really become a worthy successor to annotations. You should be able to place them anywhere in the video and let them link to something else than other videoes or playlists.

The only difference it would really make in removing annotations is removing the annoying ones that are ads, product suggestions etc. People are just gonna have to use a different editor to annotate their videos if they need to.

Vegas Pro (it's free if you do it the right way, or it's got options for different budgets)
Or try Shotcut/Openshot, those are cool and free, plus they're not impossible to use

I like Pitivi. It's GNU/Linux only, though. OpenShot is pretty decent if you must use Windows.
There's also a video editor in Blender which is supposedly very powerful, but I don't really understand it personally.

The only thing saving me from the crappy side of YouTube are the old videos from 2009 and older.

Everytime I watch YouTube, i turn off annotations because of those annoying annotations that fill the whole dang screen telling you to subscribe and stuff.
Sure, it's easy to get rid of them, but i'd just rather not have them.
If you use a windows computer and you're not happy about this news, learn Windows Movie Maker.

Yeah, but if you upload the video, you don't wanna delete it for "editing", so annotations are like an easy and cheap way to add something to the video, and I believe it's a very bad idea to remove them, since it can be used as links.

You can do links in other ways though. For example, you could put them in the description and tell people to go there in the video.

I know, but I meaner thoses screens things at the end of videos with some videos playing, and when you click on them you get directed to the actual video, and smw YouTube es also uses them to make their video MUCH more interactives.

You could also use those "I" things that appear at the top right of the video.

I heard from a YouTuber I'm subscribed to that effective May 2nd, Google will remove the ability to add or edit annotations to videos in favor of a new way to link to videos in a YouTuber's outro. Annotations from videos made before that date will remain, but that will be the last you see of annotations on YouTube.
If anyone would like to voice their complete opinion on this, please go right ahead and let it all out.

I agree with you!
Welp, we can't time travel to get those things back... you gotta deal with those situations that any platforms are dealing with... of course not every people are satisfied with the changes but there's always other things to get up and go with changes on their videos to entertain people. Also we have other platforms for communications aswell instead of just one platform alone so that's another thing.
