Mario & Luigi: The Rescue of Link

Postby Brantonio16 » Mon Apr 10, 2017 4:17 pm

Bowser managed to get Princess Peach once again, also got Link in the way, but now he got a bit of help from his past self. Now Bowser has his eye on the Ancient Power Stars form the Star World, will Mario & Luigi stop him before getting in the Star World...

Ok, so this is just a Demo of the full episode and I still have to improve some of the levels, lower the difficulty and some other things. It's 1P only because its too hard for 2 players.

Worlds:
Rocky Grasslands: 100% Complete
Rubble Caverns: 100% Complete
Hot Hot Desert: 15% Complete
Toxic Oceans: 0% Complete
Ice Lands: 0% Complete
Enchanted Lands: 0% Complete
Retro World: 0% Complete
Bowser's Kingdom: 0% Complete
Star World: 0% Complete

There are 2 Worlds avaible now, and I promise the next update will come out soon... Maybe...

This project looks okay, but in the 4th screenshot the graphics kinda look weird. because of the 8-bit npcs and the Player doesn't really fit in.

I know, I was planning to use the 8-bit Mario/Luigi for that kind of levels, but I'm thinking of replacing peach and toad's sprites for the 8-bit Mario/Luigi so you'll be able to use Modern Mario/Luigi and classic Mario/Luigi just like Sonic Generations does.

The Episode rules actually say demos are allowed. Though really demos should be in project threads as it makes more sense that way.

Also, 1000 posts :D

I'd HIGHLY suggest that you lower the saturation of that cave tileset it hurts my eyes and probly others.

I'd say that this project could use a bit of improving on that end though.

Does it really hurt? I mean I was creating the level... but If it really hurts I'll fix that.

It doesn't seem too bright to me.

He might not, but if he ever returns to this topic, I want him to know that I at least care. If he scraps the project, that's fine too.

Thank you both Super Luigi and xDestroy for your support, I'm still working in this project, but I've been busy and that's why I haven't updated the episode, but I promise I will release the second DEMO with Hot Hot Desert and Toxic Oceans.
