Alright, here I am again. I know you can go into "worlds" files, and delete saves there, but I am working an a world, and there are 0 files in it for some reason, so I can't clear saves, and I want to have no saves on the file by the time I release the first version. Is there an actual way I can do this?

Well, you should be able to clear those save files by deleting them from their respective episode's folder. Check and see if they're still there.

If you're testing levels in the editor, they don't actually save your progress, just keep that in mind. It only saves when you play in the actual game, and the saves are located in your episode's folder.

I am worried if I do that,it will delete the game itself, and I will have to start all over.

I know. And I have played the actual game a few times. And I can't seem to find the Episodes folder.

It's actually the Worlds folder, there is no physical Episodes folder. Each subfolder within the worlds folder is called an episode. Open up your episode folder under the worlds folder, and you should find the saves.
Here's the exact directory (If you don't have Program Files (x86), look in the Program Files folder instead):
C:\Program Files (x86)\SMBX\worlds\(your episode name here)

If you are searching your SMBX Folder, inside there you will see the worlds Folder. Go there and then you can see all your SMBX Episodes Folders you currently have for example The Invasion 2. If you want to delete the save.sav data on a specific SMBX Episode, go into one of these folders and then find save1.sav, save2.sav or save3.sav. The number is basically the Slot and it's on a regular order. Then delete one of them and then your specific slot file spells "Empty" if you check the specific SMBX Episode inside the SMBX Game.

You're not going to delete the game/episode if you just delete the three save files.

Alright. I got that the saves are in the "worlds" folders, under .sav, but the thing is my World has no files in it. I have no clue how, but it still runs in SMBX. I really don't know how it works, but it just kind of does.

You have an episode folder sitting in your "worlds" folder. This episode folder is named whatever your episode is called. Inside it are your levels and save files.

I got all that. But my Worlds folder for it literally has 0 files. I have no idea how it even runs.

Let me get this straight, you're working on a SMBX project, and your SMBX project isn't located in the "worlds" folder, am I right? This is what I get from your message. Look, when working on a project it's always best to have it in a folder by any name you want located in the "worlds" folder within your SMBX folder. Now, the .sav file should be in the same folder as your world file, there's no other way to create a save file in another location other than the world file's. If you want to delete your progress, you just have to delete that save file.

Well, It is in my Worlds folder, but there are no files in it. I have tons of levels I can access and play via Editor/Normal SMBX, but there are no files in the episode.

So delete the save files from there and you'll be good.

Alright, here is my exact directory. My Episode is called Super Helix World, tell me if I am in the right place.
Computer/Local Disk (C:)/Program Files (x86)/SMBX/worlds/Super Helix World
There are completely 0 files, I can't do a single thing with it. And there are only four Episodes/Worlds I have, but I can't get rid of the saves in the Episode I am making.

There should be save files (.sav) in the Super Helix World folder.
But before we go that far, where are your episode files? Levels, custom graphics/music, world file, etc.?

Right where Super Helix World is, in the "worlds" folder. All of them have .sav files when you open them, as well as some custom sprite and music files. Also levels and stuff. Long story short, all three other Episodes I have have files, but SHW is totally empty.

Okay, so I think everyone is on different pages here. DakotaSpine, could you post screenshots of your worlds folder and your Super Helix World folder?

Hi, sorry for the late reply but i had a similar problem and came across yours while searching for a solution but eventually found one myself. In my case, my save file was not showing and sometimes my world and level files too when i looked in my "episode folder". To make the files appear, i noticed an option that appeared above my folder when i viewed it which said 'Compatibility files". Clicking this had made the files appear. Hope you see my reply
