Okay so here it goes.
My old pc which was running Windows 7 died last week.. So I picked up a new tower which is running Windows 10.
I moved my SMBX and transfered it to the program files as normal.. But for some reason it's not showing the SMBX folder.
Is SMBX compatible with Windows 10 or am I screwed?

It should be. Try downloading SMBX again

I have SMBX on my Win10 computer, and it works fine. I think some files on older versions of Windows won't work with Win10. I tried that once with Movie Maker on XP, and it didn't show right on 98.

Best way to do it:
1.) Download SMBX 1.3.0.1 or whatever you're going to use
2.) Put in a safe directory, USB drive/root of C drive
3.) Make a link to it in the Start Menu so you can do this:

4.) ???
5.) Profit
I think it's probably because your last copy may have been run through an installer and it didn't play nicely with transfering, just grab a clean portable copy so you never worry about this again, and copy out all your episodes into the new SMBX directory. Probably for the best. The original installers had OpenCandy and nobody really wants that on their computer.

I have SMBX and the computer that I'm using is Windows 10 aka Microsoft Windows 10 Pro. So it's compatible with it.

I know it already got solved but I'll say you this, while transfering files, make sure you save them inside your User profile datas such as Desktop for example instead of inside the program files after your C drive somewhere or else things tends to get screwy as of how the permissions are set up with on Windows. That problem happened on several couple users back then with other Windows users aswell.

SMBX is compatible with Windows 7, 8 & 8.1, and Windows 10.

And Vista/XP. At least, older versions were, as I used to run this shit on my old emachines desktop back when I was a youngin'.
That, and my mom's laptop was a Vista-based machine, and it ran pretty good there since she had an i5.
For proof that SMBX is pretty easy to open with Win10:

Nope, SMBX 1.4.4 and 2.0 are compatible with Window XP. In fact, the reasons I use them on XP is because they are slow on Window 10

I'd say they both are a bit laggy on laptops no matter how new, since the music starts lagging and it takes a while to load a level/world map.

not running that great, lmfao
worked pretty good on a second gen i5 though so that's always cool

whew yeah that really isn't even gonna like windows 10 in general, that would explain the lag

SMBX itself (least the earlier up till 1.3 version) was made on a Windows Vista PC and it's recommended to run either that or higher... Windows XP only on selective causes depending how good your processors are. I had a WinXP that can run SMBX fine but also has severe issues when there are too many objects on the screen and that's also more limiting than you have unlike on higher Windows and processors.

Is SMBX 2.0 or SMBX 1.4.4 playable on Windows Vista? I need to know cause I am trying to get started on my second main game.

Definitely not recommended to use anything earlier than Windows 7 for SMBX (and almost anything else).
