* Unpack contents of downloaded archive into data/PGE/ folder of your SMBX 2.0 folder
* Open data/PGE folder in your file manager
* Close Editor and other apps (such as Maintainer, Engine, MusPlayer and Playable Calibrator) until start updating
* Run the "update-pge.cmd" (or just "update-pge" if extension showing is disabled) file: must appear the black console window with a greeting, and to start the update, just hit any key and wait update completing
Next SMBX 2.0 Release will already include it and anytime you want to take latest laboratory build of PGE, just run "update-pge.cmd" from data/PGE folder!
Good Luck!

Don't click the cmd by itself, just open notepad (or notepad++) and drop the cmd file into it (or with right click on CMD file click "Edit" menu item)

I have tried the Online Installer Method, and now I have rendered my entire instance of SMBX2 unusable. This is Frightening. I have been working days at a time to compile graphics for my Level.
The Entry Point that is the Font Engine can no longer located in a Dynamic Link Library. I will run the .cmd. I am scared now.
Specifically, what I did to render SMBX unusable was point the installer to the PGE Folder of my SMBX Folder instead of the Root. I do not know if that was the problem.
Apologies for testing overmuch. I will try to back up my world folder and try again. And apologies again for being Dramatic. I get Emotional when things explode. n.n;

Windows SmartScreen usually blocks things it does not know, claiming it has protected your PC. It is an intrusive feature. I don't remember how I disabled it but it is possible.

Google Yandex knows: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-disable- ... indows-10/
P.S. Don't confuse:
- Online installer use ONLY for standalone PGE installation (if you have used PGE outside SMBX 2.0)
- cmd script use ONLY for Integrated into 2.0 PGE installation
there are for DIFFERENT purposes.

The only problem I am having so far is that the program fails to keep a recent record of previously opened files. Thus a perpetual empty Open Recent Field.

PGE Project included with SMBX 2.0 uses portable mode, therefore has independent settings store. You can just open in your file manager the %UserProfile%\.PGE_Project\settings and copy INI-files you will find into 2.0/data/PGE/settings folder, and you will take those recent files back!
(the %UserProfile%\ used in the installable version, if you had install it via online installer)

Hmm... That works. But I also cannot run the PNGtoGif Converter through the editor due to an erroneous directory.
I tried to copy the PGE contents into the .PGE_Project Folder but it did not make a difference. This is what the Error Log read:

No matter where contents is stored, but you can try run PNG2GIFs from command line (you even can define target path or just drop set of images to PNG2GIFs.exe to get them converted into GIFs)
Anyway, PNG2GIFs.exe must be located in same folder as pge_editor.exe itself, and if it is not works... Seems, because of bug which calculates path in the relative mode (used to integrate with 2.0, but not used in standalone mode), will try to check and will fix that

The program is in the same folder. I can double click the Converter directly, but the command prompt closes as soon as it opens. I am not that bright when it comes to running things through a Command Line.
But dragging the pictures individually seemed to have worked! This is a heavier task but it will work while the fix is being figured out. Thank you again, Wohlstand.

Because I have been removed pause, and it is command-only utility, I.e. you must start it from command line (just use shift+Right click, then in context menu will appear "Open command window" menu item)

You have to drop multiple files in one drop, and all of them will be converted!

Code is half as long as it used to be and does more than it used to and works reliably. Not very user friendly yet but this is about as good as it gets for now. Using this API is actually safe now and doesn't murder your level when you pause the game.

It seems the black one splits into two, and the light blue one can appear anywhere, but are the others all just different speeds? Is there one that can follow the player?
