One problem with this would be the cramped spaces, specifically underneath the castle where the Goomba, Koopa and Whomp are.
Otherwise, it's quite decent.

I take it that 1) That's underwater and 2) You're going to make a sand BGO to get rid of that horrible cutoff.
But apart from that (Which I highly doubt you'll leave in, as you said it was a WIP), it's looking really good, although I can't see it that well because of how big an area you've taken a screenshot of.
Also, what are those horizontal line things? There's one near the top of the screen and another one in that little section off to the right.

So, another level for my autumn world is being made. This one is mostly set in and around a beehive.

That looks reeeally busy for some reason. The beehive (I guess?) looks completely tacked on for the sake of distinguishing the level from similar levels with the same theme. Also I think white platform lines would help in making them actually contrast against all the things going on.

i don't think the background would fit, and that horrible cutoff...
anyway, level seems good so far and clearly resembles jolly roger bay, i like it, but i think you need to make the top section wider. it's too short.
