An Average Adventure

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first project, An Average Adventure!

This project is SMW-styled, which means that 90% of the graphics will be in that style (I kinda need to take some creative liberties here and there). Also, every level in the game will have Dragon Coins in them, so look out for those.

The episode will contain the standard 8 worlds, as well as a Star and Special world. That counts to over 60 main levels, and 13 bonus levels.Of course, I'm also including secret exits into this. Now, just for a proof of progress:

An important thing to note is that this project will use SMBX 2.0, for reasons that I'm pretty sure all of you figured out by now.

Will probably release a good demo eventually.

Feel free to offer critique and such on this thread. I'll end up finishing this, rest assured. Wish me luck!
Why did it take me so long to repost this

I'm pretty sure if they wanted attention they would've asked for someone to try their graphics, and they would've said what it was for, and not just post it here.

Do what, post their graphics in a thread that's not relevant to it? Maybe move that post to the Graphics forum.

I think you're talking about putting it in your signature, which you can easily do in the user control panel!

It looks cool from the screenshot,I see from the first screenshot looks like a 4.6/10 kaizo-ish. But I see that Small Mario and Small Luigi sin't on the ground, are you using Lunalua ?

he does, there is a timer at the ghost house and mountain screen.
you can also see the extra golden coin thing. i guess that's like a star coin.

Well, after a leave of absence for a while, I've revised some of the worse levels in the game.

New Bob-Omb Battlefield is now Pipe Gardens:

Beetle Pyramid and Frolicking Meadow got graphical updates:

Ice Temple is no longer complete garbage:

Finally, I finished a Star World level, and started another one:
screenshots: show
ImageImageImageImagethis last one looks better in motion i swear
I've also shortened and enhanced some of the longer levels in the game. Aside from maybe one more level, now that I've dealt with all of this, progress should speed up after this hopefully.

oh yeah, and i started world 7:

A lot of the screens look kinda barren and flat to me (Especially Frolicking Meadow) and kinda lack coins. Also, what's with the star at the right of the first Frolicking Meadow screen?

Ok, there is some GREAT things to do with this one, but there is MANYthings to fix:
The levels are way too flats.
The level design sometime look hasardous.
Some hill tilesets are glitched.
A lakitu la in the second level is somehow too hard.
The background in the first level need to be .
The pipe in the third level is leading...to itself! So I couldn't even finish the level making this episode unplayable.

I always encountered problems while making SMW levels, here's a hint for the first screens: add some bricks and coin blocks.

I'm trying not to overdo it with the slopes, but yeah I could add more stuff to them. Then again, I'm not the best at screenshots anyway, so I probably captured the worse parts. Also the star's a checkpoint.

Can't understand some of what you're saying, but I assume you're referring to the demo, and yeah, I acknowledge that it's pretty bad. Honestly, you're better off not playing it. I'm gonna do a MUCH better version of it when 2.0 Beta 4 comes out, if not sooner.
