Wrecked Airship

Postby Dark Omega » Mon Oct 31, 2016 1:25 pm

Happy Halloween, everyone! Dark Omega’s back with a spoooooky new level! This time, the Mario Bros. must explore the Wrecked Airship! This vessel was once a mighty warship known as the Revenant, until a freak accident destroyed all of its propellers and Rocket Engines, and also killed most of the crew. The ship then crashed into the sea, where it became a home for Bloopers, Cheep Cheeps, Jelectros, and Sidesteppers. However, these creatures are not the Revenant’s only inhabitants, because the dead crew members became Boos and Dry Bones. Also, the many schools of Cheep Cheeps attracted a wild Unagi, which ate several Cheep Cheeps and spat out their bones, causing them to become Fishbones. The Fishbones scared the remaining Cheep Cheeps to the other areas of the ship, along with the Bloopers, Jelectros, and Sidesteppers. Meanwhile, the surviving crew members, including the captain, left behind a valuable treasure – a Star – and the captain, Boom Boom, left behind a ? Ball. The Revenant now lies half-submerged in the ocean, somewhere off the coast of the Koopa Kingdom. To this day, not one soul has dared to set foot on board the haunted, derelict vessel – until now…

WARNING: This level is very hard! As a matter of fact, I had to use god mode just to clear it! It takes a high amount of skill just to SURVIVE, let alone complete the course. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Found a way to get stuck here if you're careful enough to stand on the platform without collecting the coins. Also the P-switch becomes invisible most of the time, and the effect graphic wasn't changed. Don't know what that was about.

Also the boo spam was pretty lame, along with some of the other enemy placement. Like this npc runs into a wall and swims off screen at the end:

This wasn't really that hard of a level either it's just that the boos were annoying and you put jellyfish down to make a few bits of the level cramped. Also speaking of cramped spaces and bad NPC placement this is another problem with that area:

If you have a powerup you lose it unfairly or in this case you have an unfair death. Bad design overall really.
