Why haven't you made a thread for those graphics? They look stunning! And for playing the level, I will do that right now.
The level is awesome! It's a simple water level, but I love getting the coins, and the general atmosphere and theme of the level, it's really good!
The level was a bit short, but it puts ideas to work quite nicely, especially considering that the red coin quest is actually mandatory as opposed to being optional, in that it opens up new paths in the level. Playthrough made:
They both need better coin placement. The first one looks like another joke level tbh and the second looks like someone took bleach to the graphics, but only some of them (and it doesn't look good)
thanks, i enjoy drinking bleach everyday.
why does the first one look like a joke level?
edit: these are still incomplete, i just began making them.
also why are you trying so hard to be rude?
I can see why PixelPest would think that the first level looks like a joke level: The smiley faces don't really fit the level.
As for the second one, a no-outline style can work, but it looks inconsistent in your level. Some blocks still have a black outline, the NPCs have a colored outline and the ground has practically no outlines. The bush looks kinda weird, too.
these are yellow switch clouds.
about the no-outline level, i'm still doing the rest of the gfx, the screenshot was just a little bit rushed. i wanted the bush to fit the ground color.

I have no idea how someone would deduce "joke level" from that.
The unfitting smiley faces mostly, but also the clash between the green and orange colors. Of course you also have to consider how you define "joke level".

The only clash I can see is the vibrant colour on the smiley faces, which probably have no deeper reason to its design other than lack of experience. It doesn't look like the level's trying to pull a joke or parody anything at all.
Regarding smiley faces and improving, amine, here's a thread with some spriting basics and helpful links that might help you improve: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=10581
