There's no need for experience on it, really. Just want your overall thoughts on the game, and a notification if you notice a mistake or an overly difficult/easy level. If you want in, just send me a PM.

EDIT: Got someone already but if you still want in, can take a 6th tester.

Pushing the estimated release to November as SMBX 2.0 is still randomly shutting down when a level is starting. This needs to be solved before we can begin beta testing. Otherwise everything is ready.

I'm also considering switching to open beta at this point to get as much information and bug reports (related to both the engine and the levels) as possible.

The crashing issues have been solved by temporarily removing the custom player characters from the episode. Beta testers have received a download link by PM. The beta will be closed at least for the time being. Can still take one or two testers if there are volunteers.

And now begins the waiting for feedback whether I have spent seven months creating a piece of crap or a somewhat decent episode. : p

If I get reign's permission, I could stream the beta in a few days, otherwise, it is 100% up to him. I however will not be starting until my birthday passes. (Only day my family will be home.)

Wow, The episode looks amazing! This graphics looks incredible, seems like SMB3. When will release the full version? Can't wait for this full version!

Depending on how the beta goes, the full version will be out in 2-3 weeks. So far no big issues reported in testing.

On another note, due to my real life plans cancelling I devoted almost all sunday into fixing this episode. I now expect the release to be in the next four days. Stay tuned. :)

I also said I'd look into a possible patch for the beta testers, but that is sadly not going to happen. There would be a huge risk of something essential missing. The whole episode needs to be downloaded again if you wish to play the complete version.

I think the reason it looks weird in this specific case is because the pipe pattern is symmetric aside from the floor and the only thing that really stand out are the pipes (?) to the right of Bowser, but those don't stand out as much.

Everything is done. Release date is tomorrow 25th of October. The download link will be on rpgmaker.net, and there will be two downloads. One with just the episode and one with SMBX 2.0 Beta 3 + the episode (for those who don't visit this forum or aren't active members of the SMBX community).

I can safely say I'm very happy with the end result, even after being at the brink of a nervous breakdown numerous times with all kinds of errors and bugs on the way. Not to mention playing through the whole episode seven times even after all the levels had been tested to death already. A big thank you to all beta testers as well.

I intend to upload a video later on that shows all the puzzle solutions. That requires me to do another playthrough which I'm currently not ready for. :p

Bot sure if I should say this, but my solution to some of the puzzles were quite funny to say the least.

Hard to say. As far as puzzle solving goes, definitely harder. On the pixel perfect platforming department, not so much. Unlimited lives should help too.

Indeed. But Kaizo style platforming is never required in this episode. I have since tried to eliminate all the spots where that kind of thing could even be attempted.

(about 12 hours to release)
