One of my soundfont remixes:

For Peach's/King's Castle
I often take MIDIs of Super Mario songs that I like and add the Super Mario RPG Soundfont to them. That makes the songs more fitting for SMBX!

For castle hub world levels!
And this is an alternative if you don't like the GBA's soundfont:

I'm using that in my episode!

I know this tune has been overused a bit though, but it works well in overworld levels. However, you'll need to crop the music length down if you're using this version.

Despite the name, this one works quite well in airship levels.

Well, I guess I'm bringing this back for the 301st time.
I'm not sure if either of you realize this, but the reason this thread keeps dying is because (almost) nobody actually uses this thread to find music for their levels; people just use it to post music they like, and it isn't uncommon for said music to be popular enough that most people here already know about said music. You can bring it back all you want, but you won't be able to keep it that way for very long (unless it's just you posting with the occasional post by someone else).

This song is great for cities on fire and yellow caves.

This can be use in Water Caves ...i think. I prefer the US version (oh no someone used this song)

Great to industrial or high-technological levels . The US version is too happy

Can I get some proper 1-1, peaceful-grassland-ish music?

I think any NSMB overworld music may help you.

This is just me but I think either the underground theme or the character selection screen music from SMB2 will fit perfectly.

I don't really think this topic is that neccesary anymore, considering that people could use the Level Music Recommendation Thread to ask for music that fits their level perfectly, rather than having to seach this topic in order to find something that fits. Also, I'm slowly starting to think that people are using this topic to post their favorite songs instead of songs that would be useful for SMBX.

Sorry for the bump, but I need some suitable music for a mine. The underground themes don't have the right feel, I need something that suggests a lot of activity. I'm thinking a sort of pickaxe noise in the background or something.

I need music for a bright and mysterious Crystal Cave level and an intense boss theme for that level.

Might not be as "intense", but that's what was in my mind.

10/10 good question.
The light from outside of the cave, is that the real answer ?
