Episode is masterfully done. Bossedit8 you are a programming beast. Easy going levels with loads of powerups makes for a fun SMBX experience. Find myself fireballing my way through most stages and it a good time.
I do find the stages become a bit repeatative but you put surprises in to mix it up tactfully. Wanted to say the first Grass land Ghost house made me laugh, was very classy.

Hahaha well to be fair this SMBX Episode is mostly designed for 2 players which means there are parts that it makes the game relatively easy but later on into the game you will be challenged with difficult levels for sure.

Yeah well, even for it's repetitiveness especially with this many levels and also that it mostly aims at Nintendo's designstyle this SMBX Episode has you still have fun going through the levels at least. Later on though, challenge awaits!

For something simple like this, there's always some surprises going on hehe...
I noticed that many sections are partially inspired by original levels. Which is nicely executed, gameplay is top notch. However graphics are too lackluster IMO and some more décor could be used.

I'll say you this. Graphical appeal especially custom ones can be nice and all but it's not our main focusements of having a game. I mean of course (custom) graphics can look a game drastically different from the others but it's not the main focus of making a new level... same goes for decoration. You can add additional graphics or decorations during production but the main focus we have here is gameplay and if the player has fun playing set levels.
Never be able to beat final boss in this episode. 180 lives wasted, no chance - simply drags on too long, thanks for SMB3 Bowser`s HP and having nothing but unstable SMB2 bombs (that can boom in your face at any time and have explosion hitbox dissonance) and 3 almost useless power-ups compared to unbearably chaotic boss and chasing cannonball spam. Rage-quitted 3 times. Any tips? If you suggest bringing something like hammer suit, good luck getting trough very long and difficult castle without getting hit at all for one small chance to beat this nastie.
Compared to this, entire special& E-worlds are piece of cake.

I can recommend counting to 20, as well as watching the co-screen I did with boßedit8, since both were 100%. Honestly, the Final Castle and the E-world were the only issues I had.

Awesome episode!!!! Although it's way way too easy and too simplistic, but it was very very fun!!! I completed this episode now. Can't wait for Airship Attack 2!
Bossedit8 I really like this episode, and it works very well on my SMBX 2.0 Open Beta version! I think some other custom music are appreciated... There are some of them in your pack from original Mario games, but on my laptop I have custom ones.
I've finally managed to beat Funny Tanks (even without getting hit once, I used the Tanooki Suit through all the way). The basic strategy is standing on bullet bill spawns as long as possible and floating long distances over the ground (along with statuing when needed).
Glad you like it even though when I look back to it it does have some designs that are kinda questionable and such at times but eh... it has it's own ways I guess.
Also nice that you beat one of the hardest levels in this episode with no damage. I actually had to change the difficulty due to being too much for like 1-2 years back and such...
