I really like cave tilesets. Partially because there are so many different ways you can interpret them in. But on top of that, most of these ways haven't been used yet. Yours right here looks really sweet. I like the shading on the center part and how they interact with the corner colours.
Also, update.

I've decided to change up the level's artstyle entirely. NPCs, BGOs, background will all have their own shading style. While the blocks have black outlines, background objects will have a white one.

Thanks, there are still tons of things I'd like to add to this tileset.
Why do I have some kind of Wario-ish feeling when I look to that black pipe there? I like it though. Also, I don't know what to say to that idea of yours. Changing the outline to white would mostly make it look like some kind of inverted objects. But can't say it looks bad.

it's still early State and needs to be edited at some Points. Some different Surface-Structure on the Walls for Example.
the ground is great and even the hills, but the paths taken from the SMB2 expanded graphics.

Dragonmaster146, I think this fits for a carnival - because the tileset looks like to me it was in a circus.

may i criticize the stairs? The placement of the squares makes them look like they're moving in an arc. IDK whether this is genius or stupid, but I know it's unintentional. Why do most tiles have a black outline where there should be more tiles?
I think I need to think more about this tileset.

I honestly don't know what to call this, I just let myself be taken by my imagination.

Circus tileset, maybe? At least it's closer to be called something than mine.
It looks well shaded, I like the design as well, overall the switch's, original indeed. Looking forward for more stuff.

The blank yellow tileset is blank. Why is this?

go take a look right below it...
but I agree that it looks a bit bland. I thought of this overcomplicated idea, though: How about you take the patterns from the 2 sizeables aswell and allow for mixing all 3 of them? It'd be a lot of work but really cool. Having transitions between the patterns and such.

It was used for stairs? Dragonmaster146, the inside tiles of the stair slopes have no decoration. Maybe try adding red stars?

Don't encorage people to do that. Nice concept, though. I could imagine a whole level based around switching tilesets on and off. That'd be a nice way to expand this.

NEVAH!
I know right. The only problem is that we'd need to find BGOs for those to replace, and it's really hard to find some.
