Levels forum redesign and more

Postby Shadow Yoshi » Mon Aug 15, 2016 6:31 pm

Here's a list of everything that's happened:

- We have a new Levels forum. From now on, you can create threads in this forum like you would in the Art Board. One person may create a thread for themselves to house all of their levels; we recommend you do it this way.
- We have a new Projects forum. There are new rules for this forum, so have a look at these especially before copying your project threads over. To copy your threads exactly, find the post and click the PM button in the contact menu. This will present you with a screen for composing a message, and the message field will be filled with your post (in a quote block). PM a staff member if you have trouble with this and they can help.
- There are new rules for the Levels and Episodes forum as well, so please read those as they are effective immediately.
- There is a new Level Judge application that has been posted by Valtteri. Those who had the position before are welcome to reapply, and everyone is encouraged to. The job of the Level Judges has changed slightly, so have a look at the thread for more information.

Here is a link to the archive forum that contains the old Levels/Projects forums: http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... m.php?f=88

Please post any further questions in this thread!

Why are Level Judges still a thing?

Because they're still needed to moderate, review, and choose Featured Designers

No they don't. I see the old team is purged so that's good at least then.

With the new rules, the Projects forum will probably need more help in terms of moderation, so the Level Judges can help with that as well as offering reviews and helping choose featured designers.

Where do i exactly have to post level threads?
I don't want to risk myself with a warning.

Level threads go in the Levels forum.

Also, you probably won't get a warning for simply posting a thread in the wrong subforum unless you do it like 10 times for the same reason.

Would it be wrong to post episodes/projects on our level thread, and just make it a one-stop for all of someones stuff? Or is it only for standalone levels?

You can post a link for your episode in your signature.

Thats what I have now, I guess thats about the same. I just wondered if there would be a rule against it.

There are forums for Episodes and Projects, so you should post them there.

We can't reply in other level threads. Why?

What do you mean by "other level threads"?

I believe he meant level threads that are not his own, which may be because this forum had the same permissions set as the last levels forum (which may have disabled users from posting in other peoples' level threads unless they had been sorted). This should be fixed now.

There is a button at the top and at the bottom that says "POST REPLY".

Added parts to the relevant rules that say images must be embedded rather than linked and on external pages.
