That's right! With a flurry of new contests coming your way, I wouldn't want to miss out on the opportunity! Remember when I held a contest at the NSMBX forums? Well, I've decided to make a sequel to that!
So, if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm holding a contest. But not just any ordinary contest! This contest has a special rule: No Levels allowed! 'But Ace, what do you mean by "No Levels?" Do you mean that I can't use make a grass, desert, or castle level?' Yes, that's what I mean. Those are levels. What I'm talking about is in the "custom graphics folder", there are a bunch of custom graphics for your levels. These are the only things I care about. No level required.
So without further ado, here are the rules: Disobeying Red Rules will get you banned, disobeying Yellow Rules will lose you 10 points
[*] NO LEVELS! That's right! Send me a folder of all your graphics and all your music, and I will judge what the level would have looked like if you made one.
[*] Make sure you levels don't end with a star. If they do, that means you submitted a level, which means you're disqualified.
[*] You must use at least 50 custom graphics to give me a good idea of what the level would look like.
[*] SMBX 1.4 IS NOT ALLOWED! Not that it matters anyways, but just a heads up.
[*] NO LUNALUA! I don't know how lua works, so if you give me a lua file, I won't know what any of it means. It won't help me understand the level better, so don't submit any lua.
[*] The custom graphics folder must be put together by you alone. I wouldn't want anybody teaming up, now![/color]
[*] Don't submit more than one level folder. Any more will get you banned from the contest.
[*] No desert graphics, seriously desert levels are super boring and bad for your health.
[*] NO STUPID NAMES. If you give your folder a stupid name i will deduct as much as 50 points from your score. DON'T GIVE IT A NAME LIKE "PWNHAMMER", THAT'S DUMB.
[*] The level that I imagine using the custom graphics should be easy enough for me to complete, or else points will be deducted.[/color]
To submit a folder to this contest, just zip up the folder and upload it to a file-sharing website, and send a Private Message to me with the download link. DO NOT SEND YOUR LEVEL FILE TO ME! DOING SO RESULTS IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION!
