By the way, is the character height the same as Peach? I've noticed that when you hit a block, Toadette doesn't touch it.

Yeah I'm well aware of that. At least in lua or at least in SMBX 2.0 you can change it's hitbox and also there's a Toad version which fits even more to it's hitbox and such.

Sorry for bringing it back, but how do I replace the Peach sprite that appears when you enter a level, or at the top of the map screen?

Place the necessary graphics inside a SMBX Episode basically. If you want to be only level specific, put it inside the level's graphics folder.
