It's not 4 people Raster yesterday i did talk with others who are online during this time and there were all active then and as example here are some people who agree with this: NEMU, reghrhre, Danny aswell, Elitnamedude, Blank, sleepy, Gary posted here aswell and thinks there should be more including me aswell.

That isn't 4 people... And it would be better having someone during specific times instead of getting spammed don't you agree?
Imagine you would have a irc channel and you have ops. But at specific time you and all other ops aren't online cause you also need sleep aswell. And then a troll comes in and starts shitting and stuff in the chat and everyone has 2 take it. Wouldn't you get a OP aswell who could manage this time aslong you and the others are gone?

rails and B both have flags on the channel and have my explicit permission (if not already implied) that they can function as operators. They probably just don't know that and are following basic network operator protocol, which is good.

You're blatantly ignoring the need for more security on your channel, stop trying to avoid the truth. I would strongly suggest you enlist another operator to help out around IRC. I don't give a flying fuck about how busy you are, it shouldn't be that hard to set flags on somebody you truly trust for the job. Enough people have already voted for reghrhre as an operator, and he has the aptitude to do so.

Like reghrhre said, he doesn't even go by those nicks, and banning him is a useless maneuver because he uses proxies and servers regardless. Unless you enjoy receiving constant complaints regarding Harley, and I don't think you do, you should hire reghrhre or some other capable operator of taking care of the channel when no other operators are online. You can't rely on rails and B to babysit your channel when no other operators are online, because I still doubt they would take care of any trouble there. If you truly are too busy to take care of your forums/channel, give somebody else the luxury of doing it until you return so not everyone is relying on you to do things.

Can you stop getting all defensive and attacking me over nothing? "I don't give a flying fuck if you're busy" is probably one of the most insensitive things you've ever said. Considering all the work I do for this community, the last thing I need is you being like that about it.

As for my point about B and rails, I was explaining why someone would be given the "network operators can't interfere with channel issues" statement.

We're not rehiring reghrhre at this time. The staff will decide who we're going to ask about a temporary job.

If reghrhre wants to be an op he definitely should be one. Of course some of the staff members are going to be in disagreement sometimes, you have to be able to expect that. I'd say that most of the users on this forum trust reghrhre to be a good moderator/IRC operator. I've never seen anyone complain about him while he was in power.

And gosh, there's so much debate on who to pick when there should be little to none at all, this shouldn't be a hard decision whatsoever, it's a simple "he/she is good and trustworthy" and that's it. And while I don't really care or not if I'm given operator you haven't even mentioned why I shouldn't be given operator, there's a ton of support for me being OP but yet, that won't happen and no one knows why. And like I said, making a decision for a temp OP won't help if NONE of the staff are on during the time.
