Old Switch Goombas/Switches/Blocks

Postby HeroLinik » Wed Jun 29, 2016 2:07 pm

Because I still haven't seen someone port the old Switch Goombas, switches and blocks into newer SMBX versions yet. I managed to rip them from my older copy of 1.1.2, which I still have lying around on my old computer. When you have these graphics by your side, you won't need to go through an older SMBX version just to get the older Switch Goomba, switch and block graphics again. Now here's the obligatory screenshot:

And the download link. Give credit to me as the ripper.

Man, the old graphics look so much better than the current ones.

Did they really look that shinier? I just thought that they were recolors of the current ones.

I can honestly sort of see why they were changed into what they are now, since the colours aren't the traditional "Red Yellow Green Blue," and the fact that the shading (The pallet on when it gets darker) looks pretty odd for all the blocks. It's a pretty nice port, though!

If you compare the older Switch Goombas to the newer Switch Goombas, you'll see a notable difference.

I like them, are beautiful, but the colors are very kill eyes. I didn't know they were so bright.
