That was before I knew there was an entire community devoted to making trial-and-error levels (a community which the host and judges were a part of), and although I still stand by my opinions, I knew there was no way I was going to be able to explain why that's bad level design to all of them.

As for that post, I wasn't making fun of your level, but rather how your sarcasm almost came back to bite you. The main reason everyone was making fun of you back then is because you said stupid crap like "levels shouldn't always be fair" (which is something most people will see as objectively wrong), and never really bothered to try and explain yourself, opting instead to be sarcastic (it didn't help that, at the time, the rules implied trial-and-error levels would score poorly, which further pitted things against you). The problem with sarcasm is that it only works if you're objectively and completely right and sarcasm is the only way to show how the other side is wrong; if you're wrong, your sarcasm will only make you look like a stubborn jerk.

In other words, even though, in the end, you were successful in changing this into a trial-and-error contest, I found it amusing that one of your sarcastic statements was almost true.

All you've done is diss this contest and moan about how awful these types of levels are. You're entitled to your own opinion but we've all heard it enough, so if you don't have anything positive you want to add, please just don't say anything at all

I didn't really have time to make a level for this contest because of how specific the rules were, but i guess it turned out ok then.

Trying to think how you will split 8-4 into two since you have a hub of two, and a hub of three... two twos, and two threes?

I've decided not to finish the contest episode. I will likely host another Kaizo Level Contest or two and might use the levels then, but decided for now I'll just leave it. If I have approached you via PM and you are making a postgame level, you can still do so (and I'd suggest that you please do) and I'll use them then. Eh, I rather just have a download link for the levels, or combine all your kaizo contests in one episode (if that's what I'm reading correctly).
