Old SMBX player comes here.

Postby Jro0 » Tue Apr 29, 2014 11:41 pm

Hi, guys. I'm Jro0. I'm an old SMBX player since 2012 (age 11). I discovered this forum when I read the history of SMBX at 2013 (12), I was shocked when I heard that SMBX is cancelled, until I found out it's still having updates as of this year. I also came here to chat out with you guys and receive some updates about the game. Well this is a long introduction, I'll end it here.

P.S. Kitsune Luigi and Fox Luigi in SMW form will be released later.

"Welcome to the forums! Make sure to read the rules and have fun!"

Ah, it feels great to do that again! Anyhow, you think your intro is long? Look at mine to feel better! So I welcome you, young Jro0, to the Land of SMBX. Please enjoy your stay!

Welcome! I'm sorry to disappoint you, but these aren't updates in the vein of Redigit's 1.1, 1.2, etc. note the small version numbers. They're basically SMBX hacks which spruce up the graphics a bit. That's pretty cool for a 100 percent fan made update but I just wanted to let you know. Have you heard of lunadll?

@Super Luigi!
I guess yours are a bit longer but I'll still consider mine long too anyways.

@FanOfSMBX
lunadll? I guess not. So the updates are just graphic changes? I never really aware of those. xD

Oh, and enhanced music. Lunadll is pretty complicated. It's basically a hacks SMBX exe with a DLL, which you can use commands to modify your level, such as giving Mother Brain 5 HP, disabling player flight, or even a custom timer (yes like the 2D Mario games)! It's pretty cool once you get a working code running, but it's pretty complicated - all these commands are put in a txt document in the level folder, which LunaSMBX reads. View the lunadll thread in General for more info. I think there's a tutorial and command list but maybe the hosting site went down. Ask Lief Erickson for more help. He's really helped me! I can send you the SMBX 1.3.0.1 exe with lunadll enabled if you like.

Welcome to the forums, Jro0. As FanofSMBX said, the "update" 1.3.0.1 is not an official update, nor does it have any new content. LunaDLL is pretty amazing, though. Read the rules and have a good stay here.
