zlaker, Cedrik actually meant if he can pot somethink not post something. Aka he wanted to know if Redigit can pot flowers into pots.
Also we all know that Redigit will not post anything until Joey made the announcement.
<Joey> Don't post anything, until i made the announcement!
<Redigit> Sure, whatever you say

No, that log is fake.

As with the SoundCloud BBcode, I'd rather not have it if there's no substantial demand for it.

They do. Maybe he didn't notice it, or they're working on it as we speak.
Either way, it's kind of annoying >.>

Yes, and post removal power. He probably just didn't check the forums or notice.

You guys bother to much with this whole korean spam.
You literally give those who do it attention instead of simply ignoring it, reporting it and move on.

Thanks for the tip Tinkerbell.
Anyway, Joey, please consider that more than half the time nobody with staff privileges is on to clean up this stuff. The posts were going up every minute or so all night so adjusting the time between posts hasn't worked as a lazy fix.

I never adjusted the time between posts. Also, no need to be condescending. Tinkerbell's pretty much right. I know that spam isn't cool, but reacting to it generally does not help the situation whatsoever.
Being on the staff team is not simply "being online at certain times to clean up spam", and I will not make additions to the team exclusively for that reason.
The spam that we've gotten recently is light compared to the torrential IRC spam we used to get. Not to mention that this spam is probably done by real people who are getting through the CAPTCHA, and unless they're doing so through obvious proxies there's not much we can do besides clean it up. I'm sorry if it takes several hours before one of us is able to take care of it but, at the very least, whoever's doing this won't be doing it forever. Upon some investigation, it looks like we've had a few spam-like accounts join in the last couple days. I'll do what I can to set appropriate restrictions so similar accounts can't join.

Being on the staff team is about cleaning it up though. There's not much for you guys to do besides that and needlessly intervene in heated discussions about Merio. The spam is "light" in the sense that there's not as much as before and on IRC, but the frequency and the delay is and has always been the problem. It never got to this while I was still staff and the spam was way worse a year ago, and this idea of ignoring the problem so it goes away isn't working. It just looks bad and gets more annoying over time as a regular occurrence. I don't know what the reasoning behind "not reacting" is either is because it gets us nowhere as we've observed over time, and THAT does not help the situation. There's nothing anyone else can do but watch, so it's up to you and the others to fix it and clean up. If you're insistent on the staff label being more than cleaning this up, why not just make a janitor group exclusively for that reason so the staff can be about whatever it is that you think you guys should be doing? It should at the very least be up for discussion so both parties here can come to a mutual solution instead of ignoring each other and the problem and hoping it goes away.
Btw it is likely that a human is getting past the CAPTCHA, but from that point a script can take over unless this is some kind of human sweatshop spam job. A CAPTCHA required before making posts too would fix this if it's a script.

The only thing I find ironic about spam that's outside of the fact that it's SPAM, is it's just spamming facts that aren't needed here.
The latest spam I found had some quote about Tongues, which was really starting to confuse me.
How are there spam threads being posted anyway?
No, I'm not trying to react but I'm really confused here.

You mean it never got to the point where people had to wait several hours for someone to come online to delete posts? Sure, but that's because the spam wasn't really on the forums. Your staff position had nothing to do with it.
As usual, I'm getting tired of your crusading. I appreciate the concern, but you aren't doing much to help either. I'm sorry people are spamming inappropriate pictures of animals through PM and posting unintelligible threads in some of the forums. If there was a magic "end all spam forever" button you know I would've pressed it a long time ago. We'll figure it out.
