The thing about people here shittalking about 1.4 is dumb anyway.
If someone trashtalks lunalua or doesn't want to get it, the fanboys go crazy.
But if people trashtalk 1.4 it's okay to do so here.
Yeah remember when people gave wohlstand stupid shit? And now you all praise his engine and editor. Ok

Redigit's appearence is VERY suspiciously here.
Also, just for acquaintance I publishing my conversation with Terraria admins at September 14~16 2015 as my failed attempt to contact with Redigit
http://wohlsoft.ru/docs/_files_for_post ... admins.pdf
Read carefully!:
Tunnel King wrote:Redigit cannot speak to you - or anyone - about SMBX, in any capacity or under any circumstances.
There are legal reasons why he cannot, and therefore will not do so.
Redigit is not going to give you comments, blessings/permission, or source code to help you with
whatever it is you are doing. Please stop asking about it.
To the best of my knowledge, you do not know Redigit personally; therefore anything that you say
that you "understand" about him is purely speculation on your part, and has no basis in fact.
Please stop trying to contact Redigit through this forum. Thanks.
I think, you are must be carefull, or let that Redigit who has been registered here will confirm himself me with answering to my bunch of technical questions. He must know that because he is developer of SMBx. I and my friends are know that because we are hacked/disassembled SMBX 1.3 and made LunaLUA on it.

Wohlstand: Redigit came to Joey and talked on both Facebook and IRC to verify that he's the real deal. He was on IRC under the name Gomba, and the IP he connected with originates from Indiana, where Redigit lives.

Anyway, if he is real deal, I wish to discuss my topic which I began in 14 September 2015, but I was been rejected by himself and his admins.
And also, if he is real deal, let he send me any PM at Terraria forums (I registered as Wohlstand too and has same avatar on that) just for trusted confirmation.

Eh... I really prefer what's been happening with 2.0, myself. I really think it's cool how everyone worked together on that.

I just think the whole 2.0 vs 1.4 storm should die.
It's as hilarious as mario maker vs smbx was.

I have never seen a 2.0 vs 1.4 storm. What are you talking about?

Horikawa Otane wrote:Additionally, it is a rewrite from scratch and the physics are a bit off, some levels from 1.3.0.x that rely upon precise jumps and stuff may not be compatible with 1.4.x. That's a major thing.
The physics on SMBX 1.4.2 are much than before, now jumps and movements are more natural and similar to the original SMBX.
Horiwaka Otane wrote:1.4.x needs Chinese mode... For some reason. Which means levels designed in it will have very limited reach and are difficult to play for non-Chinese people.
This bug was fixed 1 month ago, no more Chinese mode needed as Tinkerbell pointed.
Horikawa Otane wrote:A level made with 1.4.x is not compatible with 1.3.0.x or 2.0. A level made with 2.0, provided it does not use pngs, custom sfx/music files, any lunalua features, or >200 warps, ought to be compatible with 1.3.0.x.
I don't think this is a problem, I.e if someone uses SMBX 1.4.x then that person should be completely sure the level won't be compatble with older versions due new features. Anyway PGE is starting to support SMBX65-38A level formats: WohIstand wrote:Currently PGE Editor opens SMBX65-38A levels, but: because I wasn't finished events side, some properies are will be lost...
(Watch the full quote here) so practicaly it does, but not so good. Let's hope in a future it can do it without any problem. SMBX 1.4.2 support 500 Warps and custom sfx too...
RudeGuy wrote:I have never seen a 2.0 vs 1.4 storm. What are you talking about?
I have to agree with Tinkerbell, there's a storm between SMBX 1.4.2 and SMBX 2.0. Personally if someone prefer SMBX lunalua/2.0 rather than SMBX 1.4.2 I don't care, "have fun then", but this is starting to being a problem.
If someone here supports SMBX 2.0 it's okay. If someone here even talk of SMBX 1.4.x series there will be a lot of discussion around. People hate SMBX 1.4.2 without even play it, people are uninformed of what is SMBX 1.4.2 today. Also other thing I really don't like is that if someone plays SMBX 1.4.2 then someone else will try to use convince to use SMBX 2.0 or lunalua when this version is better and stable than almost everyone think (this should be a free choice for the player, right?). I do not mind SMBX 1.4.x series aren't supported here, but I'm tired of people coming to hate SMBX 1.4.x without reason, at least I'd like they give an oportunitty before judge it. This problem is bigger than this, but I would not like go into those details. Can we enjoy SMBX 2.0 or 1.4 without comparing with each other? I hope you guys understand my point, let this storm die.
