Do people even read or are they being stupid

You know it you know it. It has been a must for rules on forums since without them the forums would go crazy enough but..... looks like you missed something out.

Today we will talk about the theme are people even reading rules or are they prentending to be stupid? I mean there is this big fat sticky post that says Rules and it even says "You need screenshots"

Then someone posts a project no screens. They come up with those excuses "I don't have screenshots at the moment" or "IDK how to take screenshots"
I am at some Forum where the rules for Hacks are simple. If you don't have atleast 5% done know the goal of it and you don't have either a Vid or 2 Screens the topic gets deleted. IMO this is a good idea they have there because if you lock them and the author never provides screens or so they just take up space and tbh it is their fault if it got locked or not.

You have to follow the rules seeing most do it already but some people don't understand it even after they got told 3 times. Therefore posting in them asking why there aren't screens mostly rises up the postcount but if the topic gets deleted it should go down.

Now i know most of you like always will be like "What the shit thats stupid deleting it." but look they just never really provide them and then it takes up space and the board will look unorganized.

So what do you think are they just some people which don't seem to understand you gotta follow le rules or do they just pretend like this===?

New users, especially people who haven't used forums before, probably aren't familiar with what all the rules mean or just won't bother to read them at all. No matter what you do, that kind of thing is pretty much unavoidable. It's difficult to call people who do this stupid, though; they're just inexperienced.

New users are generally conformed from people that usually don't bother to read rules, or conditions you should follow if you want to install a game, etcetera. Expecting them to actually read the forum rules, and if they don't to call them stupid, is just plain lame. Besides, nobody knows what to do in the first place, they learn what to do.

I do recognize some people might not read the rules even if they are reminded to, but I guess those people are mostly conformed by three different types of users: The ones that read fast and miss it, the ones that forget they were reminded and the ones that simply don't care. I bet you're practically annoyed by the third one, and honestly, you shouldn't categorize everyone as "they are stupid, they don't give a fuck" or "they do it on purpose, those crazy bastardz".

Then again, most of them aren't familiarized with the forum standards. They don't comprehend that the staff tells them to do it, or otherwise they'll lock their threads, and if they do and yet they don't post screenshots, are or lazy persons or people, that like you said, come just to annoy everyone.


I rather see no point in this thread honestly, other than a topic related to a series of rather common events, but that's just no reason to make a whole new thread, honestly.
