So how was The Force Awakens? (NO SPOILERS)

The audience was pretty quiet when I saw the movie, except for some kids who started babbling about random stuff in the middle of the movie for a while and a woman who couldn't bother to turn off the volume in her cellphone.

It was great, though.

J.J. Abrams is actually Jar Jar Bink's long lost son, Jar Jar Abrams. He was able to get Jar Jar Binks in the movie as the new sith lord.

How to speak and not spoil...

The movie was alright. The story is incomplete, so there were moments that are difficult to judge if they made any sense until we understand some of the characters more, which I'm hoping to see in the future. The humour made the movie much more enjoyable and endearing. I couldn't complain about the acting. Almost everything involving the new characters was enjoyable. And actually, as of writing this I convinced myself that I don't think I could pick out anything really wrong with the movie at all. For me, it was mostly just what captivated me and what didn't, and the explanations I could give for what didn't captivate me and why would hint a lot as to how the movie plays out.

Either way, I think it's a good set-up for a series of movies and I think I understand most of why it came out the way it did.

I've seen too many movies. I think the difficulty it takes to impress me at this point is probably more of a flaw of my own than anything else. Massive budget with great actors and an actually workable script (this in particular is more than I can say for a lot of films) and I casually walk in with a ticket paid for by a business' promotional marketing and I'm like "this was alright I guess"

Same here. I was expecting wild applause when I went to see it yesterday, but nope, it was pretty quiet. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the movie, but I felt the dialogue wasn't up to scratch...

I honestly thought that it was a good film. It had decent action, good plot, and even had it's good comedic moments.

Before I first watched it, I was fearful that it would feel too much like a fan-film then anything, with it being made by an entirely new team. But then after watching it I was so star-struck with how well it captured the spirit of the original, that I felt a childlike innocence that I had not felt for a long time. It was like getting back together an old friend you haven't seen in a while, sure there is a lot of new stuff, but it also makes you remember the old times.

As for the viewing experience, it was really good for me. The crowd had good energy that made it really fun to watch, but it wasn't overly annoying. There were of course some people whispering really loudly which tarnished the experience slightly, but it overall didn't bother me.

Overall, good film.

Saw it yesterday.

Honestly, JJ really did save the franchise. It was pretty damn sweet. It's honestly just behind the original trilogy in terms of awesomeness (hell, I personally have it right up there, if not ahead of Return of the Jedi due to all the plot holes and Ewoks in that one).

On topic though it was great movie and I have high hopes for the rest of the Disney films.
And god damn, they really got old. LUKE HAS A BEARD!!!!!1!!1!!
My only complaint, the rip off death star and slight lack of back story to some of the the characters.
But it's understandable considering that it's a base for a whole new trilogy of SW films.

I saw this on the 23rd, my birthday and I really enjoyed it very much. It was an excellent movie and I am so glad I went to see it.

No, it's really sith/dark side exclusive. When jedi defect, they use the red sabers unless they prefer their old one like Vader did.
